A day of car ride thru Denali - It was a rather long day, even though the tour was very nice we drove thru the wildfire areas of Denali and it was very sad to see this beautiful area burning and leaving fields of charred pine trees. We stopped at a nearby shopping area in Denali upon request to buy some souvenirs. Until I requested, the tour guide did not stop. Also, very few stops for food and when we eventually stopped, we got some half cold chicken wraps but not enough food in my opinion. No soda, no juice, no dessert. We continued on with our long day thru gravel road for more than 3 hours and stopped at numerous locations for pictures....some fancy pictures that tour guide and his family took using drones with camera for videos also. We were very tired sitting in the car for over 14 hours...with very little food. We again stopped at a gas station to grab a bite only because we complained that we were hungry. The gas station only had pizzas and other very unhealthy food. We continued to make numerous stops even after we requested to return because we were so far off Fairbanks. We finally made to our hotel around midnight and we were all very flushed from sitting in van for ~ 14 hours......too long, not enough food, no hikes or no paths....only driving and stopping for photographs....
