Our start point is Emerald Isle Heritage Resort Nedumudy. This location is approx 18 Kms from Alleppey KSRTC Bus Stand. It is better to take a tuk tuk or taxi to reach the location.

Great for groups or solo, just gotta watch the heat! - Awesome route through the canals, it does get very hot but they warn you about that, would recomend covering all of your skin including legs if your pale. The lunch rest point was very nice and the family that hosted me made a very nice classic Kerela lunch. My guide was awesome, pointed out interesting locations and timed the tour to my pace. He also helped me get back to alleppey via public transport.

Beautiful afternoon kayaking through Allapuzha - Our kayaking guides were very knowledgable about the local sights and plants and I loved getting to see the beautiful smaller canals that the big houseboats can’t enter. Lovely stop for tea/lime soda partway through. Sujith also arranged my transportation even though I was staying two hours north. So glad I spent the day with Offbeat and hope to be back for one of their longer adventures!

Great trip in amazing environment - This is a great kayaking tour in the amazing Kerala backwaters. Kayaking there was much better than another boat tour I took, because with the kayak we could get into narrower canals, which are much more interesting and offer a closer look at village life around them. The trip was also a great birding experience, with a huge amount and variety of birds. Sujith is a great guide, super friendly knowledgeable and speaks good English. Highly recommended!

Beautiful backwater kayaking! - We had a lovely morning kayaking through the backwaters with our very kind guide. So peaceful - we were the only other tourists in this spot. Saw many types of plants, trees, and birds on the way, which our guide kindly pointed out. Beautiful way to catch a glimpse of how the Alleppey backwater community lives, including passing many churches and temples. Logistics were well-organized. Highly recommend!

Fun activity well worth doing! - Had a fantastic time kayaking in the backwaters. The trip usually lasts a few hours, but ours was kindly tailored to our needs. Saw great wildlife and an insight into villages and communities that you don’t see from the main city. Thank you!

Beautiful walk - Pleasant session that allowed us to see the small villages , the daily habits of the inhabitants and especially beautiful landscapes throughout the excursion.
The little lunch break did good after paddling 3 hours! Excellent meal, nice welcome from the family we were with!
The return was quieter because digestion requires
The monitor very attentive and small care, impeccable exchange

Alleppey backwaters a different way - This was a great tour and a unique way to explore the Alleppey backwaters.
It was a 9am start and 3pm finish. Was a nice chill pace, allowing time to look at everything and just take in the ambience. Lunch was also provided by a local family.
Pack lots of water and wear sunscreen. But otherwise, a great day out.
Huge thanks to the team for accommodating me last minute and even organising my transport. Legends!!

Offbeat Pedals Tailored Package - We did two days of activities with Offbeat Pedals. These were a mix of cycling + kayak and a cycling + village tour in the Kumarakom and Viakom areas. Sujith was excellent to work with when looking at options and assembling the activity packages for us. The activities were great. We had e-bikes and they were well maintained and e-bikes made cycling in the heat so much easier. The 2 person kayak was also in great shape and the safety gear (helmets and life jackets) were clean and in good condition. Sujith accompanied us for the kayaking and Abid showed us where to go when on the bikes. They were both great guides, with excellent local knowledge. We really enjoyed getting to understand the area and people’s lifestyle while getting good healthy exercise. We never felt uneasy or unsafe. Offbeat Pedals are highly recommend by us.

Nice private kayaking experience in Alleppy backwaters - The Kayaking experience was great. It was a private tour with a dedicated guide. We toured the backwaters for around 3 hours with a 10 minute break in-between for tea and snacks at an island.
We visited the pick up spot, from where we were taken on a ferry to the starting point which was a homestay. We prepared for the Kayaking and the guide gave us instructions. We were given a floating bag to keep mobile phones, and a mineral water bottle to keep hydrated during the tour.
We explored 2 routes and then took a snack break and an island before we started our return journey. On the way, we interacted with the villagers across the islands. The overall tour took around 3 hours to complete.
After the tour, we came back to the homestay to freshen up and then we were taken back to the original pick up spot on a ferry, from where we returned back to our stay.

Extensive kayaking tour - Moderate fitness level needed for about 15 km of kayaking with scenic views and with a snack as well as proper lunch break. The lunch was at the house of a local family allowing a glimpse on local living and was super yummy! Dry bags and life jackets were kindly provided.
Cons: Only little information was provided during the tour (e.g., on history, local living and culture, local species and plants), also only little information on request. For photo taking, if you wish, you need to request from your guide Unni. The provided safety vest came with a disturbing smell to me.
Overall, I can recommend this activity.
