Our guide made this trip the best experience ever! If we ever go on another trip here it will be with him for sure! He represent - Our guide made this trip the best experience we could have ever asked for. He knew so much about the land, people, food, roads and from the beginning he exuded an air of positivity and childlike energy that he represented everything about Costa Rica and it's Pura Vida! We are grateful the universe crossed our paths with him!

Just Right - Even with the volcano being closed, this tour was just right for my day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided an excellent experience. The food provided was plentiful and tasty. The coffee plantation tour was very informative. The waterfall gardens were amazing! Beautiful scenery, great animal encounters, just lovely all around. I would warn others that there are LOTS of stairs. Mostly going down, with a section going up at the end. Would not be a great choice for anyone with knee issues. Otherwise, I would recommend this tour and even consider repeating it myself on a future visit.

Informative and fun - The tour guide picked us up on time. Was very friendly and provided great information during the coffee tour, and animal sanctuary. If I had known the volcano was closed ahead of time would have canceled as that was the main reason for booking this.

A good way of fitting in multiples sites in one day, stress free - This was a very nice tour. The Coffee Farm was interesting - we saw the plants close up, and also saw the manufacturing process for coffee means, with lots of good explanation from our guide, and relaxing, with a tasty breakfast. The shop there is a bit pricey, but with some beautiful things I didn't see in as beautiful form anywhere else in Costa Rica. The Poas Volcano, unfortunately, was disappointing. The fog was so heavy nothing was visible at all. We saw some lovely, rich vegetation on the walk, but no view. We also spent in my opinion a bit too long hanging out in a shop before going to the Volcano (maybe hoping for the weather to clear?) There were two parts to the Peace Falls. The first, is a 'wildlife rescue centre'. Here you get some good views of birds and sloths e.t.c. There are also monkeys and big cats. I have two say, I found the cages too small and some of the animals looked depressed, so I wasn't so keen on this. There was a lovely butterfly house, though. And a beautiful outdoor area, where humming birds were feeding. This was gorgeous. The falls themselves are stunning. The path is beautiful and natural, leading you right along the edges of the waterfalls. These are not delicate little falls - but crashing, exhilarating ones - a real thrill! Overall great to have three good stops in one tour, all within easy reach of the Capital.

Tour was very good - We didn’t manage to see the volcano due to the fog unfortunately but the rest of the tour was great. Lovely breakfast at Cafe Doka. The La Paz gardens were lovely. We had loads of time and never felt rushed. Communication beforehand could be improved however. The pick up time of 630am was only confirmed after 10pm the night before.

Terrible of a company - Crook company! They told me. They were going to give me a full refund. Since the volcano was closed! They never reach back out to me. I had to reach out to them. To see what the deal was with my refund. I got the screenshot of all the previous messages saying they would! I wouldn’t recommend nobody dealing with this crook of a company! Bad business

Terrible Tour Company! Avoid at all costs. - Terrible! Terrible tour company. No communication whatsoever. I messaged them and emailed them days before the trip to confirm the pick up time. Nothing. No contact back. Then they have the nerve to cancel the tour at the very last minute overnight. Very unprofessional and would not recommend booking with this company. Especially when there are many other companies who do the exact same thing. Would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible tour company.

Misleading information on the Tour - This tour wont have the Poas Volcano, the Volcano has been closed for months!!! They will let you know about this until the day of the tour, so you pay for the full tour and you do not get it….

Missing volcano and an unexpected career as airport shuttle staff - We booked this tour dreaming of dramatic volcanic landscapes, nature, and a full day of adventure. Instead, we got a strawberry, a sticker on our chest, and a free lesson in Spanish we didn’t sign up for. Let’s start with the star attraction – the Poás Volcano. Beautiful, majestic… and closed. We found out at 10 PM the night before that we wouldn’t be going there because it was “currently inaccessible.” Cute detail: it had already been closed for weeks when we booked. Selling a volcano tour without a volcano? Bold move. Also, the tour start time was a mystery worthy of its own Netflix mini-series. The website said 6 AM. We had to write the company ourselves. They casually replied: “Pickup is 7:15.” Thanks for keeping us in suspense. The guide? Very nice. Very Spanish. Despite booking an English-speaking tour, the majority of our journey featured an extensive Spanish monologue with one of the guests. When we kindly asked for English, it lasted for about ten seconds – and then volvió al español. During the long hours on the bus, we understood absolutely nothing – and it really created a strange atmosphere. There was this awkward silence, like we were just passengers along for the ride, completely out of place in a tour we had paid full price for. Stop 1: Doka Coffee Plantation Breakfast: okay. Souvenir shop: $14 chocolate bars. And then came the stickers. Yes, we were all given very visible chest stickers, which we later realized were there so the guide could earn a little commission if we spent our money in the shop. Honestly, if we’re advertising products, we should get a cut too. Stop 2: Supermarket “tasting” experience The listing promised cheese, strawberries, and wine. What we got: • 1 strawberry • 1 micro-wine (possibly homeopathic?) • 0 cheese Stop 3: La Paz Waterfalls Lovely nature, animals, good buffet. Very little explanation – we were told to walk the path ourselves, which we enjoyed, but again: not what was advertised. By 2 PM, the tour was officially “done.” This was supposed to be a full-day tour, advertised as lasting until the late afternoon – nearly 6 PM (hotel drop-off). So much for that “extended experience” they promised to make up for the missing volcano. And then came the final surprise: “Hey everyone, we’re now an airport shuttle!” Yes – in the middle of the return trip, we were suddenly informed that we’d be making a detour to the airport to pick up other passengers. For us – with very limited time in San José – this was just perfect. Because why spend time enjoying the city when you can join your tour guide on a completely unrelated errand in heavy traffic? We circled the airport multiple times, trying to locate the passengers, and what should have taken an hour became two hours of frustration. In short: • No volcano • No English explanations • No cheese • But plenty of awkward silence, confused glances, and chest stickers • Bonus: unwilling participation in Costa Rica’s least glamorous shuttle service We paid €140 per person – nearly €280 total. Next time, I’ll spend that money on 10 bags of coffee and a volcano screensaver and call it a day. Funny now? Kind of. Worth it? Absolutely not.
