- Giza Plateau - As per the requested time according to your arrival details, which you need to provide during booking, your tour will commence.
Upon arrival, exit the terminal at the street exit gate where your expert tour guide will be waiting, holding a sign with your name. Begin your private stopover tour to the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis, Sakkara, and enjoy a boat ride on the Nile.
At the first stop, visit the great pyramids of the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty, including the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the second pyramid of Chephren, and the pyramid of Menkaure. See the famous statue of the Sphinx and the valley temple used for the embalming process.
During your tour at the Giza Pyramids, there are additional activities available, such as entering one of the pyramids (extra cost), riding a camel (extra cost), or visiting the Solar Boat Museum (extra cost). Your tour guide will provide honest advice and assistance for all these activities.
- Great Sphinx - Next, visit The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the vast funeral complex.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple contained several statues of Khafre, discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, with further finds by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - At the second stop, visit Sakkara, the old kingdom’s graveyard for pharaohs. This site is renowned for the first pyramid complex ever built in Egypt, dedicated to King Zoser and constructed by his wise architect Imhotep. Here, see the step pyramid, papyrus columns, and the remains of the enclosure wall. Visit one of the carved and painted tombs in the same area of Sakkara at no extra charge.
- Pyramid of Teti - The Pyramid of Teti is a smooth-sided pyramid located in the pyramid field at Saqqara, Egypt. It is the second known pyramid containing pyramid texts.
- Pyramid of Unas - Unas constructed his pyramid between the complexes of Sekhemket and Djoser in North Saqqara. A long causeway was built to provide access to the pyramid site, anchored to the valley temple at a nearby lake.
- Mastaba of Ti - The Mastaba of Ti is one of Saqqara’s most significant archaeological sites, discovered by Auguste Mariette. It contains two serdabs, with tomb walls depicting various scenes of everyday life.
- Memphis and Sakkara - Then, visit Memphis, the oldest capital of ancient Egypt, where you can see the reclining statue of King Ramses II, made from a single piece of limestone weighing 120 tons. Also, see the alabaster statue of the Sphinx, weighing 80 tons, along with other artifacts displayed in the area.
- Qasr El Nil Bridge - Conclude your day with a one-hour felucca ride on the Nile for a wonderful experience. After completing your tour, return to Cairo Airport.
