- Jebel Shams - We drive towards Jebel Shams, often called the Grand Canyon of Oman, which is about a 4-hour drive. This mountain is situated in northeastern Oman, north of the town of Al Hamra. It is named Jabal Shams, meaning ‘Mountain of the Sun,’ because it is the first place in Oman to receive sunlight due to its high peak. It is the tallest mountain in the Hajar range and in the country.
- Jebel Shams - Next, we embark on the Balcony Walk, a trek that takes around 4-5 hours. This trail, known as “The Balcony Walk,” offers views of Wadi Nakhar, often referred to as Oman’s Grand Canyon, and ends at the renowned abandoned village of San Bani Khamis.
- Al Hamra Old Town - After completing our Balcony Walk, we drive to Al Hamra. Al Hamra is a 400-year-old town located in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of northeastern Oman. The town is vibrant and bustling but hides a secret: it surrounds an incredible abandoned village. The ruins of Al Hamra are estimated to be between 700-1000 years old and remain completely untouched. After exploring, we drive back to Muscat.

Amazing Experienced - Amazing experienced. We enjoyed our balcony walk at the Grand Canyon of Oman. The weather was cold and the views was spectacular. Our guide was kind and very helpful. Thank you, highly recommended
