• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only fully preserved likeness of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine discovered in a temple ruin from a later period at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were found in pieces, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu is derived from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For instance, Khufu is a central figure in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
• Pyramid of Khafre - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, with others found during subsequent excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
• Pyramid of Menkaure - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.

Here, you can get a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and King Chephren’s head, standing by the vast funeral complex.
