Great tour, even better tour guide. Best tour we have done in Egypt - Our guide Mona was amazing. She took us to as many local eateries as we could possibly go to before we exploded! She also organised for everything that we wanted to save for later to take home. The tour was crafted perfectly as a “locals” food tour, not just the touristy area- and we could not recommend Mona enough. She was caring, thoughtful, protective of us, she was incredibly knowledgeable and was even an Egyptologist so she answered all the questions we had. And to top off our experience she sent us home with some local treats and helped us order an uber and made sure we got home safe. She was an absolute gem!

A great food tour in Cairo! - The food tour with Nada Ashraf was so much fun! She went over and abound helping us get a ride to the location when no Ubers were available. We walked to many locations with all kinds of food, drinks, and desserts. There was no stop I didn’t like! Great food, great guide, and a wonderful time. I highly recommend! Thank you Nada :)

Excellent food and market tour! - Excellent food and market tour in Cairo! Nada was great, and in addition to the wonderful food selection we tried, she provided a lot of interesting history on the market, and Cairo. This experience is outside of the typical tourist areas, and we loved seeing these smaller family run businesses and trying the variety of amazing foods!

Nice walk through Old Cairo with TONS of food. - Great variety of food in a great setting. Tour guide was friendly and accommodating. We were able to see a glimpse of Old Cairo while enjoying some traditional dishes. Very different than other food tours I have done but still enjoyable.

Great food and guide - A very nice evening out with more than enough food! Definitely come hungry, you will find a diverse range of Egyptian cuisine and the guide is very knowledgeable and kind. I had a private tour so I was able to ask many questions about the dishes and about ancient Egypt since the tour guide was an Egyptologist. Judging by the conversations alone it was already worth it!

Best food tour of Cairo - I took this evening street food tour of Cairo in February 2025 and it will always be one of my favourite memories. I felt like I got to see (and taste) a part of Egypt I had never imagined I would, The food was authentic and delicious. The sights were fascinating. My guide Mona was wonderful and really knew her way around places where tourists were rare. Don’t miss this - I would like to go back with a friend and do it again! Das

A Chef's Tour here is not A Chef's Tour there ... - Having done "A Chef's Tour" in Kuala Lumpur and coming away well fed and well educated I hoped for the same experience in Cairo. Our tour started late at 5pm (instead of 4pm) as requested by the guide as one of the restaurants would be open till then. That was fine and we didn't actually get started till 530pm due Cairo traffic delaying a few guests. Whilst our guide did keep the tour informative the actual food though was an odd assortment of super dry shortbread biscuits, cold cinnamon porridge, extremely salty pickles, raw spinach like dip with relief provided by iced hibiscus tea. The only food of real substance was a falafel pocket, a small noodle dish and a quarter mince meat pocket bread. Unfortunately no smokey kebabs or lamb as shown in the advertisement weren't offered. The tour finished at 820pm. I asked the guide if that was it expecting to run till at least 9pm or the advertised 4 hours but alas it concluded short on time and food. We were organising ourselves an Uber to get back to out hotel but the guide said the taxi driver would do it for the same price .... we checked getting into the the taxi but on getting to the hotel the driver tried to extract more money even after we had tipped him but thats not on the guide, just get Uber is my recommendation.
