What a wonderful unique experience!! - Gunni, the vendor, met us at the cruise pier with a husky. It was love at first sight. We were driven to his home and surrounded by many friendly huskies once the fence was closed behind us. Our group of 9, 5 kids and 4 adults couldn't stop smiling and petting the dogs. After the petting session, we were harnessed and teamed up with a husky so they could take us for a walk. 😁 We strolled through the dirt trail and saw some beautiful scenery without the dogs losing control of us. We learned how the dogs are cared for and saw the effort involved in keeping them happy and healthy. We saw the puppies but they were too small to be handled by so many strangers. We had a great time; if you like dogs, this is a tour not to miss.

Amazing husky experience - An absolute must to book. The home is in the most beautiful location, the dogs just adorable & so content in their environment. The trip was so welcoming and personal. Gunnar was the perfect host, so informative and made our time there an amazing experience. LEGENDARY EXPERIENCE - This tour is worth all the hype I can give it. Insanely good guides and owners, could not recommend more. Gunni invited us into his home for coffee after the tour and we ended up chatting for ages about shared love of animals, middle earth, and Norse mythology. The dogs were beautiful and extremely friendly. Would come back to the north of Iceland for this experience alone. Keen to be back for the sledding!

Best excursion in Iceland - Absolutely fabulous experience. This was the best excursion of our Iceland cruise. The host was very interesting and provided hot coffee and tour of his home and kennel after our hike with the huskies. Highly recommend!

Great tour! - Wonderful Tour! Private and very personalized. The dogs were adorable. Excellent guide and interaction with owner, who invited us into his home, was a plus. Also enjoyed the tour of the neaby little church. Highly recommended.

Something very different from the other tours offered and more fun!! - This was so fun with the cutest huskies in Iceland and with so much personality. The husband and wife team were amazing together and individually with their stories and insights. We totally enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it.

A Must when in Akureyri - WoW WoW and wow again - what an amazing adventure. A must if visiting Akureyri - Maria is such a wonderful human being and one of the biggest dog lover we’ve ever met.

A Must For All Dog Lovers - The only thing I hate about my vacations is missing my pets and this gave me some quality dog time on our trip. Maria & Gunni have made a business out of their love for their wonderful huskies. Maria picked us up at the cruise dock and 5 minutes later we were at a dog’s paradise where we got the chance to take an hour walk where the dogs pulled us with a harness in a beautiful wooded path next to their property. You can tell when someone truly loves what they do and they have worked their lives around their furry family. Could not of asked for a better excursion and the highlight of our wonderful cruise.

The BEST ever - This was one of the best tours we ever took. It's a 2 person tour only. You meet all the dogs, which is tremendous. Then you are assigned a dog to take on a 2-3 mile hike through the forest. When back you go thru the house and learn about the dogs, see the show dog trophys. Then he shows you something unique that needs to be a surprise. It is the ONLY tour to take. Others see same old stuff.
