Looked like winter but was Springs, Summer and Falls. - As we disembarked our cruiseship and made our way onshore there were Saga reps to meet and greet directing us to our check in. We were then guided to our coach by a very welcoming and friendly young man named Gunnar. Our Head guide for this tour was Belén, who had a wealth of knowledge of Akureyri, Iceland and the traditions of the Icelandic folk. Our first stop was at a traditional turf house, last inhabited in 1946 and now a museum. The warden there was friendly and helpful telling us the history of the place. Very interesting to see how they lived. Second stop was at Goðafoss Waterfall. You can not visit Iceland without stopping by here. Breathtakingly stunning falls with a history leading back to the viking era. There are several viewpoints either side of the falls making this a brilliant photo opportunity destination. Finally we drove back toward Akureyri and stopped off for 2 hours at the geothermal springs at Forest Lagoon, with it's swim/wade up bar made this a perfect end to the afternoon drinking beer in the sun in a hot pool. I am giving this particular tour 5 stars. Belén and Gunnar were a great team. The whole excursion was a faultless, very well organised experience. Thankyou Belén for the extra info for our trip into the town centre.

Godafoss and Forrest Lagoon - The pick-up location was easy to find. The personnel from Saga Travel guide you to the bus that we need to take to start the tour. The driver was awesome. He offered us free bottles of water, and the bus was comfortable enough with wi fi included.

Practically perfect day - Perfect day! Driver Hilmar and guide Belen (apologies for any misspellings)were friendly and informative. They went out of their way to ensure a very enjoyable day. It was a cool, blustery day. The turf meseum was interesting and they offered hot tea and coffee. Then to the waterfall. We got in in between crowds. It was really gorgeous and awe- inspiring. There is a large gift shop at the falls. Then we went to the Forrest Lagoon. Absolutely worth it. We had a couple drinks. The warm water in the cool air was unique and felt decadent. Never felt rushed. Would highly recommend.

The Spa/Hot Spring were great, You could include a free drink at the Hot Springs - Enjoyed the Farm, the water Fall and really liked the Spa. The bus should open their rest rooms. A snack and water on the bus would have been great.

Wonderful, amazing, fantastic and all the other good adjectives! - What a fantastic day! If you’re on the fence about booking this excursion, don’t hesitate and book it now. We were on a cruise and they were very mindful of our time and had us back with plenty of time. We were able to view the waterfalls at an off time from the regular ship sponsored excursions so we had the falls virtually to ourselves. The Forrest lagoon thermal baths were incredible and I could have sat there all day long! Our driver was careful and our guide Michael was incredible! Highly recommend!! 10/10

Forest geothermal baths... - Forest geothermal baths were chic and lovely. Goðafoss Waterfall was beautiful-like a mini Niagara Falls. Turf house was educational. No time for lunch so pack something to eat on the bus.

Amazing waterfall and relaxing lagoon - Godafoss is amazing but wish we had more time at the waterfall and less time at the turf house museum. I also enjoyed the Forest Lagoon. Just the right amount of time spent there enjoying the thermal baths. Easy excursion from the cruise port.
