Great tour and amazing sites - Our tour guide, Ritchie, was amazing. He was funny but also setup the tour with WhatsApp, to provide us with updates on where we were going, facts, and even took pictures of the people in the group and posted them there so you could get them and download them. Started off with amazing Godafoss waterfall and then off to have some of the best fish and chips in Husavik that we ever tasted. Was able to stop and see the puffin. The national park was unreal and was amazing like nothing else. Dettifoss was amazing and created its own little rainbow. Highly recommend this trip, especially if you can get Ritchie as your guide.

Beautiful scenery! - Great tour, but it can take more like 9 hours depending on the guide/passengers. Our guide was brand new and had trouble getting passengers back to the bus within the allotted time, especially at Dettifoss where a recent snowfall left the long path to the falls very slippery. There is a lot of walking so you should be comfortable with that if taking this tour. Everyone on our tour was from the same ship (Prima) and I felt the driver and guide were adequately concerned about getting us back in time (we had 30 minutes to spare), but a little disappointed there was no time to see Akureyri or its fun stoplights due to the passengers taking more time at stops. Be aware that the lunch included can vary (we had ham & cheese and apple juice). I definitely recommend this tour though - so much beautiful scenery to see in the north in a relatively short amount of time.

A good tour - Glorious Godafoss and Dettifoss with a lot of snow. Not much for Myvatn. But worth to get on this tour with our guide in managing the time to return to ship with an our to spare

Great tour but times listed are off. - Very good tour of some amazing sights in northern Iceland! Our tour guide is a teacher in Iceland during the school year and had excellent English. She loves her country and it shows! The only disappointment, and the reason for four stars instead of five, was on the Viator description page it listed 1 1/2 hours in Husavik and we only ended up spending 20 minutes there. The 90 minutes listed must include travel time. We are big Netflix Eurovision fans, so that was a disappointment.

A bit disorganized, but good overall - The tour is pretty good. (One less stop, maybe leaving off the springs, would have made it work perfectly for our timeline.) After leaving a half hour late, and waiting about 20 minutes extra at every stop, we almost had to skip going to Húsavík at all, but then did for a SUPER brief time. Our tour ended up being 9.5 hours instead of 8 and we almost missed getting back on our cruise ship (we arrived 10 minutes after all aboard - they would have been in their rights to leave us all, so it was great that they waited and allowed us on!). But our guide was excellent and had lots of personal experiences to share in the area. The bus was comfortable and the lunch provided was small buy tasty.

A Disaster from the Start - This tour was rough from the start. The tour guide took us decided to do the tour in reverse to “avoid the crowd” but we ended up going to a place that wasn’t open first. We were told this would be a bathroom stop but it wasn’t because it wasn’t open. He said if they open we’ll extend our time there. They did open slightly early but we didn’t have the time promised in the itinerary and missed a large chunk of this stop (all of the stops were MUCH shorter than the itinerary said). Then we had a small emergency we had to deal with which made us slightly late to the bus. Our group was then scolded by the tour guide and berated us like children in front of the tour bus (he was doing this about the time but didn’t do it while the bus was moving which took up more time than we were even late). We had a passenger on the tour that was outright harassing my family and the tour guide said absolutely nothing to the woman. Then we went to stops that weren’t even on the tour (nor great) and skipped main stops. The Lake Mytvan stop (which was supposed to be an hour) was a a drive-by. When someone in our group tried to ask the tour guide a question and provide feedback/concerns he was snubbed off, with the guide talking over him and being incredibly rude. Overall, the tour was not at all what was promised and the guide treated us HORRIBLY. This was especially disappointing since the day before we went on a different tour with the same company and had the best tour guide I’ve ever had in my whole career in travel (you rock Vik!). I couldn’t say more about this tour, and not in the positive.

DISAPPOINTMENT with Viator!!!!! - Check with your Customer Care department who I emailed today because our bus never came for our tour!!!!!! I am getting ready to email them back now too! They said I could not get any refund!!!!! I met someone from bus travel (Richie) in the parking lot who called for us and I spoke to someone on the phone and was told they did not have our reservations!!!!! I got my confirmation on June 30 for my booking, 149917123 and confirmation of my payment of $384! We were able to go on a tour with Richie which would have been less than what we paid!!! He said everything was verified with Bus Travel and he can be reached at 354 644 1011 or the travel agent at 331 244 6195. I am very unhappy with this situation and I hope someone can help me!

Almost missed the Boat-literally!!! - Most memorable-almost missing our cruise ship due to being an hour & half late back to port. The tour guide was totally unorganized from the start 30 minutes which became 1 hour & 40 minutes at the end. Had to call the port authorities to ensure we made our ship HORRIBLE!!!!
