Splendid Sunset Cruise! - Wonderful sunset cruise aboard Lady Enid in Airlie Beach. From the moment we stepped aboard we felt so confident & comfortable with Skipper Rob & his fabulous crew! Such a memorable evening watching the sun set with nibbles & an aperol spritz. Just a perfect way to spend a couple of hours.

All aspects of amazing! - My partner and I did this trip for Valentine’s Day and it was the most spectacular experience ever. The skipper, Jasmine,Niko and Charlotte were extremely accomodating from the moment we arrived to the boat. We were greeted immediately with coffee and scones before heading on our tour. The skipper and crew were so attentive and provided so much knowledge and history about the Whitsundays. The weather was perfect, we stopped for an hour of snorkelling before having lunch and sailing to Whitehaven where we saw the most spectacular views, stunning beaches, beautiful history and wildlife. We set sail home with some fruit platters and sailed into the sunset with drinks and a grazing board back into Airlie. I could not recommend lady Enid and the crew more! Specially this trip, we will definitely be recommending them to everyone and sailing with them again soon!

Lovely day out - We had a lovely day out on the Lady Enid. It definitely felt like a more premium trip with the little touches like cappuccino when boarding in the morning, scones with cream and fizz with cheese board on the way back watching the sunset.
Whitehaven was just breath taking and the snorkelling was good but not the best we have done, I did see a turtle though!
Please note that if you want any soft drinks or beers etc that this is charged on the boat.

An amazing experience on the Lady Enid - This is a must do when visiting Airlie Beach, Pete, Jasmine & Chris were the perfect hosts & despite the choppy start (they’re not responsible for the weather) they made an absolutely fantastic experience. Their knowledge of the Whitsundays, Whitehaven Beach & the surrounds were valuable & made the trip more interesting. The refreshments, scones brownies & delicious lunch were perfect too. Thank you.. I will certainly do this trip again, next time I return to Australia. The sailing boat & its history was very good too.

Amazing experience - Captain Pete and all crew were amazing. Very professionals and always concerned if we're having a good experience. The boat have great conditions as well as the snorkelling equipment provided.
The food was fantastic and so much more that we're expecting.
They given plenty of time in Whitehaven beach, on our own without pressure us to go. We had the bonus of seeing turtles and the sunset at the end of the trip was fantastic.
Overall the day exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much.

Should Tour Have Been Cancelled? - A not so great weather day with rain and winds forecasted. Honestly think this tour should have been cancelled since we didn't actually get to go to Whitehaven Beach which was our prime focus. The captain made the decision to forego Whitehaven Beach for another location because of weather, that was fine but we should have been given the option of deciding if we wanted to go forward or get a refund since we were not going to where we had planned.
The 2 snorkeling sights were good. The 2nd site the waters were pretty rough. On our return sail the rain and wind were whipping up really bad which made for a very unpleasant return home. Soaked to the gills even with my rain jacket on. The captain did a good job of getting us back safe and sound but if I had known how bad it was going to be I would have cancelled.
The crew were ok didn't really engage with the customers, seemed they did alot of joking around with each other. The food, which was served in the downstairs galley, was ok. But the dank smell was a turn off when down there. They also came around on the top deck with cheese and crackers during the torrential rain, silly idea. The cheese and cracks were soaked and not edible. Also the same was true when they came around with the brownie, a wet brownie not appetizing.
The interesting thing was before we docked the crew came around collecting for the drinks. First off a cruise like this the drinks should be included but if they are not totally classless to have people pay in the rain while still on the boat. Why couldn't that have waited till we unloaded at the dock? Not a great ending to an already disappointing day.

Disappointing and way overpriced - This cruise was booked via our cruise ship and we paid a premium price. It had been described as a “luxury cruise” on a “yacht”. What it was was a long hot day with no real reward. The day started off wrong when our tender made us too late to do everything promised. Not the crew’s fault but I question their choice of where they took us. It was a hot sunny day and we were dismayed to find that our “yacht” was an older sailboat decked out with hard cushions along the sides of the center of the boat. No place to lean back. Cushions hot. No shade. The only shade was where the captain was which had room for four people to share the shade. Four out of 25. We got underway and were told that because there was not enough wind we would be motoring out to our snorkeling spot. So we got to smell diesel fumes all day and a loud engine noise that made it very difficult to visit with others. The captain would occasionally shout out something about an island but with the motor running no one could hear him. We were given a plastic bottle of hot water for our needs. Not warm. HOT. It must have been in the sun for hours. We were briefed on use of the bathroom and told to leave our bags downstairs which caused a constant stream of people staggering around an unsteady boat and trying to retrieve things from their bags. Tea and scones were served at 11:15. Our “breakfast tea”. We had been on the boat an hour by this time. Scones were handed out irregularly so that some were served and offered more than others. It took two hours chugging along in the unforgiving sun to reach the beach we were to snorkel from. Because we were late, the tide was in and the beach was just a narrow strip of sand with rocks at one end. A dingy took us to and from the beach and since we were moored fairly far out and the dingy only held 6 this took a while. Snorkel masks and tubes were provided but no fins. This would not have been a huge problem except that the current was very strong and even though I am a good swimmer I did not feel comfortable going far from shore where the “good coral” was. One man in our group had to be towed back by the dingy. I went out pretty far and saw nothing but washed out coral. No fish or sea life whatsoever. Fighting my way back to shore was exhausting but in the process I saw a few 8” long fish. Nothing to write home about. Just silver grey fish. The water was also murky so it made viewing hard. We were told the water was actually clearer that day then it had been. After about an hour we were shipped back by the dingy. While in the water, the crew had put up large shade canvases for the people not sitting in the tiny captain area. Since they knew they weren’t going to be hoisting sail that day I have no clue why this was not done for the 2 hour trip out to the beach. We were served lunch which was decent except for rubbery shrimp. No drinks provided. If you wanted something other than your original hot water you paid for it. Near the end of the meal each patron received a cold glass of champagne. Nice touch but would have been welcomed at the beginning. Most had finished eating by the time the champagne was served. We chugged back the way we came. As my husband commented, we could have been on an old trawler. It certainly wasn’t the luxury yacht described. When we were almost back to the terminal we were served a tray of cold fruit and brownies. This was nice and enjoyed by all. Since we had little to drink the fruit helped the dehydration we were feeling. The crew was pleasant and I understand that they could not help the wind situation, but so much more could have been done to make this tour more comfortable and enjoyable. Iced down water bottles and plenty of them, shade for all-not just a very few, swim fins to help with snorkeling (first snorkel tour I have been on that did not provide them), and a decent place to snorkel would have made a poor situation much better.

Good but snorkeling was a disatsery - We joined the “Lady Enid: Adults Only - Whitehaven Beach + Snorkelling Tour” on Aug 21th. The cruise, food and drinks were great, but the“Snorkelling tour”was a disaster. The snorkeling equipment was old, dirty and couldn’t be used at all because the googles were leaking no matter how much adjustment you made to them. There was a guy (who seemed like a trainee) that then took back my goggles and after ~10 minutes came with another goggle and snorkel, they also had the exact same problem 🤦♂️. The same guy came in a few
minutes to pick us up, and he had apparently broken the ladder to the small pickup boat 🤦♂️. It wasn’t easy to get people up in that boat🤦♂️. All other crew members had a good service-minded attitude. I would recommend the company to teach new trainees proper customer service and proper training before taken out to “the ship”. The “guided tour” by the whitehaven hill inlet was quite mediocre as well. It might make sense to improve the snorkeling or totally remove it for better experience. The return to the harbour when the sun was setting was quite great, though.

Mistakes were made & a refund was promised but never given - I am disappointed to be writing this review but feel I have been left with no choice. I contacted the company following a particularly negative experience during a trip in January. At the time of the trip the weather was 38 degrees & it was not until we reached the Whitsundays island that crew realised our shoes had been left behind. We were encouraged by staff that the walk up to the lookout was on a path, which although a little rugged, would be fine to do barefoot. Unfortunately this was entirely misleading as the path was exposed to sun, meaning it was boiling hot at parts, and covered with small sharp stones. It took me over 45 minutes to reach the toip, using my towel and wet suit to walk on where I could, only to reach the top and be faced with a wooden boardwalk to the lookout viewing platform!! My 68 year old dad, who fortunately had a spare pair of shoes in his bag, had to give me a piggy back so I could at least see the view. The other two members of our party were unable to make it & several others on our trip received blisters on the bottom of their feet. Because it took so long to ascend & subsequently descend to the lookout we did not have enough time to view Whitehaven beach. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us & whilst mistakes are made and this can be understood, I contacted the company expressing my upset & dissatisfaction. I received an apologetic email from Nicole at iconic Whitsundays, who I believe is the manager, stating I would receive a 50% refund. This was on 9th Feb, it is now 11th April and I still haven’t received a penny back. I have had to chase this week upon week and various reasons have been given for why the transfer hasn’t been successful. Ten days has passed since I last received a response from Nicole, despite me continuing to chase my refund, and I doubt I’m going to get any money back. I have been as patient as I can be but quite frankly taking over 2 months to issue a refund (which I still haven’t got), and not responding to correspondence is no way to run a business in my opinion.
