Great tour and plenty of relaxing beach time - We had a wonderful relaxing day at the Whitehaven beach yesterday. The staff, especially Facu and Leo where very friendly and accommodating when we asked for a tent as the sun is rather strong during a long day at the beach. There are picknick possibilities in the shade at the beach which are also quite nice but we didn’t know that beforehand. We recommend the day tour with GSL not only because of the staff but it gives you about 4 plus hours at the beach. Enough time to wander to the southern outlook with a great view but also plenty of time to swim and relax at the beach.

An amazing location and like paradise on earth - We absolutely love Airlie Beach and it is like paradise on earth ! Well worth a visit and you will have an amazing time here.

Definitely recomend it!! An amazing day! - We had an amazing time in Whitesunday Island and snorkeling in the reefs. The staff were friendly, very helpful and it was a perfect day! the kids also loved it!

Prime beach day - Friendly, professional crew who made the day great, while not taking away from the chill vibe of the beach

Wish it was organised better with a bit more effort - The island was beautiful and the water and reef were amazing. The day was poorly run though through GSL. They had nothing organised properly the buffet lunch was not worth the money, no paddle boarding, we only had 10 at the most on the reef saying we had to leave early after we heard them say they were low on fuel. They had no moorings booked either. Very disappointing. We will be going back but not through GSL not worth the money would prefer to pay extra..

If it’s windy - DO NOT GO - This was a terrible experience. The weather ruined it. Winds were 35km + and the waves in the stretch towards Whitehaven Beach were horrific. People were vomiting and very scared. I will NEVER do this again. The staff were unhelpful and didn’t care or warn us

Completely misleading - This tour was advertised as a boat trip to whiteheaven beach where we were to spend relaxing 5 hours, have use of paddle boards and options to rent umbrellas and chairs. The first picture suggested how the set up and paddle boards will look. Upon arrival to the meeting point in the morning we were told that “everyone else on the tour” actually wants to go snorkeling so we will do 1 hour snorkeling and then 3 hours on the beach. Not what we booked but 3 hours on the beach would give us enough time to relax so we said fine. After 2 hours on an old, loud boat that broke down for few mins on the way we arrived on the beach but there were no umbrellas or chairs to rent and they put down 2 half inflated paddle boards WITHOUT fins and half of 2 paddles for the whole group. When I asked if they have fins or the second half of the paddle so we could actually use it they said no! So the paddle boards were basically unusable other than taking a picture on it. We could see that the set setup they advertised as their main picture was far down the beach and not part of this tour which felt like a complete fraud. After 1 hour and 50 mins they told us to pack and leave for the snorkeling spot. When I asked if we were coming back to the beach (to complete the 3 hours of beach time they told us in the morning we were getting) they said no. So it went from a 5 hour beach trip to 3 hours to an actual 1 hour 50 mins of beach time! Since they didn’t told us that up front and we were under the impression we still had another hour we didn’t even get to do the little hike we planned. We went snorkeling for 1 hour which was nice but not what we booked. We were very disappointed and felt like we were completely misled. To top it off they were so dismissive that they actually asked for a 5 star TripAdvisor review. Truly unbelievable. They have a LOT to learn about how to run a successful business from the other companies at Airlie beach which were professional, fun and didn’t mislead and bluntly lied to their customers!

Warning, Scam Alert! - I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with GSL to caution fellow travelers. We booked a trip with them and meticulously planned our intermediate stops for the journey. However, on the evening before our departure, I received a call and email notifying me of the cancellation due to a technical defect. The trip had already been paid for, but to this day (5 months later!), we have not received a refund, and in the meantime GSL no longer responds to Maisl either! Frustrated with the lack of communication and reimbursement, I have now filed a report with the police. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit to Whitehaven Beach to choose an alternative provider. Unfortunately, our experience with GSL has been nothing short of a scam, and I hope this review serves as a warning to others.

AVOID! - 0/5 if possible!! Tour Operator cancelled 8pm the night before our tour - no attempt to fit us in for another date and due to the late notice we couldn’t make it to Whitehaven as everything was booked up. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Terrible!! Didn’t even respond when I emailed - Booked 4 days in advance for myself and partner for a day trip to whitehaven. Day before we received a call saying they had overbooked and asked if we could change, I explained we couldn’t as it’s was New Year’s Day and we were leaving for home the following day. They informed us they would call others to change and trip was still going ahead for us. We went out for New Year’s Eve and home early for our boat at 8.30 New Year’s Day. Got ready and thought I’d check email before leaving, it was then I noticed an email from them the previous day saying “ boat is cancelled and call to rearrange, they had tried calling us but unsure if we got the message” from what we could work out they cancelled due to over booking as email was sent out 2 hours after the call to us. We managed to get another boat but only half day and was told at the terminal that no boats had been cancelled that day to their knowledge. VERY dissapointed and would not recommend this company. Once in a lifetime vacation for many and very dissapointing if you do not get to do this when booked days before. You need to do better!!
