• Amazoonico Animal Rescue Centre - This center is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals that have fallen victim to illegal trafficking, with the aim of reintroducing them into their natural habitats. It offers a wonderful chance to observe these animals and support their well-being. This activity serves as an environmental education experience.
• Campococha (Ahuano) - The “360° Jungle Tour Expedition Amazonia Ecuador” features tubing or kayaking along the Arajuno River. The journey includes a visit to “Amazoonico,” an animal rescue center, providing a fantastic opportunity to see wild animals and aid in their welfare. Following this, a motorized canoe transports visitors to a Kichwa tribe, where an indigenous family welcomes them with a demonstration of the blowpipe, traditional dancing, and the extraction of fiber from the renowned pita plant, along with the preparation and tasting of chicha. A typical and traditional meal is served on the riverbank before reaching “Anaconda Island,” home to hoatzin birds and a caiman swamp.
