Wonderful tour of the history of Sicily - The tour started at 08:00 and lasted until about 17:00.
It all worked out great with the pick up, ride and return.
We were a small group of 7 people and were super led by Diego a lovely Sevillano who knew a lot about the history and culture of Sicily.
We were all very satisfied and I can highly recommend this Enterprise to everyone.
However, I think you should extend the tour by two hours to have even more time for the magnificent temples and beautiful beach.
Full score!
Greetings

Great experience across multiple trips - We used Sicily Day By Day for a daytrip to the Valley of the Temples & Turkish Steps, as well as another daytrip to Etna and also for transfers to & from the airport.
Consistently great experience across all 4 bookings, the people (Damiano for Valley of the Temples, Danilo for Etna and Stefano for the transfers) were great and the booking process was really smooth. Damiano and Danilo knew their stuff and went out of their way to make sure that you had a good time.
I would definitely recommend them for any excursions in Siciliy!

Beautiful your - The Valley of the Temples and the Turkish Steps are one of the most beautiful hotpots in Sicily. Antonio took care of every detail to make a great experience for all of us. Everything was perfect. Antonio even took the time to take as close as possible to my apartment to spare me a 5 minutes walk under the rain.

Amazing historical site and landmark - One of the largest archaeological sites in the Mediterranean and a UNESCO world heritage site. The site has 8 temples, constructed in dedication to Greek Gods 2500 years ago, with impressive sections still standing, and evidence of collapsed temples still remain. It is considered second to Athens’ Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
It was a fascinating part of our stay, and a unique opportunity to be absorbed in history and witness 1st hand how temples were constructed. Advice is to arrive early in the day, or later, avoiding midday sun as there is little shade and a lot of walking.
Scala Dei Turchi - interpreted as Turkish Stairs one of mothers natures gifts. Steps made from granite and chalk that shelter the sea. Access is via a steep stepped path, so requires reasonable fitness to complete. Parking is available on the roadside above, but was very busy when we visited in late August. We were also unable to access the stairs as it has been cordoned off, but was able to get close to see the beautiful landmark.
Worth visiting both on the same day.

Good tour to see sites but could be better - The sites were all great. Enjoyed the valley of temples and the steps. Great views and photo ops. Driver guide was fun and knowledgeable. Downside was the food. Lunch was at the museum fast food. Nothing fresh. I would have rather purchased my own food elsewhere. If u include a stop for lunch, it should be at a local restaurant with fresh food. In addition, we had to purchase our own tickets at the entrance of temples and wait in queue. Company should have prearranged our tickets with cost of tour. The guide could not go in with us so we were on our own for two hours. The lunch was a wasted hour. And the steps was very short. Maybe half hour at the site.

The excursion does but not with them - I made the day trip to the temple valley and Turkish steps with snack. He came up with nothing else but to change the order and go at 11 a.m. to the Turkish steps and at 3.30 p.m. to the valley of the temples so that there was no queue to take out the entrances (the entrances are taken out by you and they give you a printed paper with what you will see inside). We almost died of the heat, we got sick out of there. The fountains were closed without water for you to buy at the bar and there were practically no shadows.
Do as other tour operators take purchased tickets and give them to customers and do not take us at noon to save time on the visit.
The 3rd is because both the Turkish steps and the valley of the temples are very interesting to see.

Need to readdress timing at the two destinations - The Valley of the Temples is more than impressive and it is advisable to go there in the morning, as we did, before it becomes too hot. However WE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME THERE - barely 1¼ hours by the time we had passed the security check and queued for tickets even though there really were not too many people waiting. I had wanted to have a guide (not expensive), but at least 1½ hours were needed for a guided tour, so I had to forgo the idea. Having said that, the descriptive plaques in front of each temple and exhibit were very informative.
What was frustrating was that we had TOO MUCH TIME at the also impressive Turkish Steps - 2½ hours to kill. The short walk along the beach brought you to the fenced-off amazing white rock formation that was only accessible if you had brought your swimming gear to circumvent the fence. A refreshing drink at a beach bar proved a nice way of passing the time though.

Closed - Closed to tourists, you can no longer get close and walk on the nice white steps, "because of racial danger", but actually it is because of instagram that tourists must have perfect photos and then they fall and bump themselves. The restaurants around unpleasant staff.

Definitely disappointed - 255 in 2 for:
- Visit to the Valley of the Temples: without a guide but with a photocopy each with a drawn map
- tasting of typical foods and drinks: sandwich at the museum bar...!!!
- walk on the Turkish steps: closed for 3 years! Only took a 1 and a half hour swim in the sea (disappointing sea)
- Estimated return at 6.00 pm: we returned at 8.10 pm with a delay of more than 2 hours on the program, restaurant and dinner obviously skipped.
The only positive note: the driver (who is not a guide) was very nice and helpful. He tried several times to briefly illustrate the various works and the characteristics of the area. Very passionate.
Too bad about everything else!
There were 8 of us in total.... all very disappointed!
