India is a country rich in wildlife varieties, with a multitude of animal species thriving in the wild, while others have been tamed by humans for centuries. Historically, elephants have been utilized for warfare during the ancient and medieval periods, as well as for transporting timber. In the past few decades, sloth bears, a rare species, were employed by the Kalendars, a tribal group. Roughly 15 years ago, a renowned NGO by the name of S.O.S. (Save Our Souls) assumed the duty to protect these vulnerable creatures, establishing sanctuaries for both elephants and sloth bears. These animals have now been freed from the harsh grip of their previous captors. Our tour package offers a glimpse of these creatures in their sanctuaries, where they enjoy complete freedom.
