• Bateshwar Temples - Journey to Bateshwar

Following breakfast, embark on a 1.5-hour drive in a private luxury vehicle to Bateshwar. This historic town is famous for its collection of Lord Shiva temples and its lively annual cattle fair. En route, nature lovers can enjoy a safari along the Chambal River with a naturalist, where they may observe alligators, crocodiles, freshwater dolphins, and a variety of bird species.

In Bateshwar, located on the banks of the Yamuna River, there is a long row of temples, primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva. Some of these temples date back to the 12th century. While many have weathered over time, others remain intact, traditionally said to number 101. The main temple is particularly impressive, adorned with thousands of brass bells that create a harmonious chime when rung together.

Chambal Safari

Following lunch, head to the Chambal River, approximately 20 km away, for a two-hour river safari. Travel in a motorized boat equipped with safety gear, accompanied by a naturalist who will provide insights into the region’s rich flora and fauna. During the safari, observe Gharials basking in the sun and discover a variety of migratory and exotic bird species.

Return to Agra

After the safari, drive back to the hotel in Agra, concluding an eventful day.
