This full-day (12-hour) excursion to Samaria Gorge begins with a pick-up in Rethymnon and a drive to Omalos, located in the heart of the White Mountains, where breakfast can be enjoyed before starting the hike. The trek will lead you over rocks and stones, through a forest of 1,000-year-old trees, along a river, and past fresh-water springs. A professional mountain escort, fluent in English, German, and Greek, will accompany the group. The escort will provide all necessary information and distribute tickets for the entrance and boat. Entrance fee: €10, Ferry fee: €13 (boat). These fees are to be paid to the guide upon arrival. Each participant walks at their own pace, with the guide positioned at the end of the group to assist if needed. At the end of the trek, visitors will reach the village of Agia Roumeli, where taverns, bars, and shops are available. There is time for a swim and lunch. A meeting point is arranged to collect ferry tickets from the escort.
