Investors Aziz Akhannouch, Ali Ouakrim, and Ali Zaid poured 18 million dirhams into the project. A Canarian company, Marinas Canarias, constructed a large portion in collaboration with Marina Agadir. This was one of the initial economic cooperation efforts between the Agadir Souss-Massa Draâ region and the Canary Islands government.
Officially opened in September 2007, the marina features residences, hotels, nearly 130 shops, as well as restaurants, cafes, and a marina accommodating around 300 boats.
The marina is perfect for daytime or evening relaxation.
- Agadir Kasbah - Known as “Agadir Oufella,” this castle was built in the 16th century but was destroyed during the 1960s earthquake. The Kasbah sits atop a high hill, offering a stunning view of Agadir city and its surroundings.
- Mosquee Mohamed V - Located in the Talborjt district, this mosque is the largest in the city, situated at the junction of February 29 Street and General Kettani Avenue.
Named after the grandfather of the current King Mohamed VI, its carved wooden doors, intricate mosaics, and grand scale make it one of the region’s most beautiful mosques.
As with other mosques in the Kingdom, access is limited to Muslims.
- Souk El Had d’Agadir - “Souk Al Had” is the city’s largest market, offering a fascinating shopping experience for a variety of goods.

Majestic Agadir - Our hotel organised this tour.Mr Hussain our driver arrived in time with good and clean car.He greeted us with broad and genuine smile which continued through out trip.He was polite and took us around marina,old village,souk.famous mosque.He knew few languages .He narrated Agadir history,culture and how it resurrected after earthquake in 1960.
He briefly introduced us to Berber culture .He was well informed and soft spoken.
He made our first day in Agadir pleasant and we fell in love with quietness of city.
We asked for airport ride he kindly arranged it for us .
Overall I will highly recommend he and his team mate.
Mr Hussain thanks and keep the good work going.

Fascinating city and Great Guide - Momo our tour Guide was excellent he gave lots of information about Agadir and clearly very proud of his city and country

Great excursion in Agadir - Mohamed went to great lengths
From a 4 hour tour it has become 6 hours..
Even outside Agadir on the surf beach we were able to gain great impressions.

There is hardly a better city tour - We booked a half-day tour from Agadir Cruise Port with West Ride Tours for four.
We had already reserved these in Germany for 30 € per person.
From the cruise port we were picked up by Mohammed, our German speaking guide. It all went smoothly. Overall we were in the minibus with 16 people plus driver and Mohammed!
It was a great experience which we would book again and again.
A 4-hour tour turned into something 7 hours, at no extra charge 😀
Mohammed explained country and people, took us to the surfer beach and to 2 huge market halls, etc. etc!
You can't put it into words how friendly this person is!!
We say thank you again very much Mohammed.

Agadir - half a day - We were traveling with 4 other people in a new Mercedes minibus. Our driver Mohamed Izem spoke good German and was therefore also a tour guide for us, who told us a lot of interesting facts about Agadir and Morocco. We were traveling for a total of 5.5 hours and could enjoy a coffee break. Visiting the souk was the highlight and Mohamed showed us almost all areas of this huge souk.

Great excursion in Agadir - It was a great trip. Mohamed showed us everything worth seeing in his city. He is a great guide, very knowledgeable but also lovable and friendly. When we come back to Agadir, we will book with him again.

You must take this tour with Mohamed you won’t regret it - Me and my mother had the best time with Mohamed, such a wonderful advisor and had very good knowledge of Agadir, my mum asked several questions and he was funny and patient with her! His English was exquisite and we enjoyed the tour and speaking to him. His full name is Mohamed Izem and his driver was Bouchaib Seddik.

Mohammed was the best of the best! - What a fabulous guide. Mohammed showed us exactly what one should see when touring this town. Abundant in knowledge and history, we were treated to a first class adventure. He was patient and adaptable to the needs of our group, highly recommend!
