Great camel ride - Booked online for the next day at 10am. We were picked up on time and driven the short distance to where we would start our adventure. We spent about 40mins heading out and stopped to view the flamingos. We had a similar trip back to where we started. We then went into a market where we were given local tea and biscuits (very nice). After that we had a wonder round the market before being taken back to our hotel. Would definitely recommend this trip although did have a bit of a sore back side after sat in a camel for that long 😅

Lovely experience! - We were collected from our hotel, at the stated time, by a small taxi as it was just the two of us. Ten minute drive to the camels. There were several groups of camels with herders & we were greeted warmly & our heads wrapped in the desert headgear. We were allocated our camels & helped up onto them & set off on our way. We went through quite rural, dusty, traditional village areas which we found interesting. After about 35 minutes we got to the river where we were confronted by hundreds of beautiful flamingos. It was such a joy to see & hear so many right in front of us! We stopped for photos & then made our way back to the start point through eucalyptus trees. Once back we disembarked & were led to the artisan market building opposite where we had mint tea & very delicious traditional cookies. It was a great experience & good fun! From start to finish just over 2 hours. We had photos taken, using our phones, at regular intervals but there was also a photographer there if you wanted to buy from him. We’re 66 & 71 years old and can recommend this as a lovely experience. Not too strenuous or for too long.

Great family experience - We did a camel riding trip for our 2 1/2 year old son and we all very much enjoyed it. We had not been this close to camels before and it is surprising how tall they are. But very gentle and the trip was fun. We also saw loads of flamingos in the river and quite a few different animals on the way. For us it was a great experience! The guide was very nice and spoke French, English and even some German.

Great camel ride for cruisers - Overall it was a great experience. If you're worried about the pick up at the cruise port, if you opt for it the pick up is right outside the ship. Only a few companies have access to the port, so we waited for everyone to get in to the 15 psgr van. Don't worry about being llate getting to the camels. We had scarves wrapped around our heads for sun protection. We specifically had requested that each of us had our own camel and paid for that. We were all two to a camel anyway. We had a great ride, but it could have been shorter. One in our group is still sore three days later. The guides were good with the camels and were very happy to take photos. We then rode in the van to a market for tea and delicious cookies. And shopping. Our driver then gave us a tour of the area. We stopped at a beach, an argan oil seller... Bring money for tips and have fun! We did.

Don't imagine too much of it - Pick up was by taxi. Arriving there was okay, very arid landscape and lots of junk. But people were really, really nice. Camels were tied very tightly together, so they could not see where they were walking. Ride was nice, but environment remained messy and bare. Upon returning it was easy to get a taxi. In the building opposite was a toilet and you could buy some food / drinks.

Could be so much better - Port pickup was a chaotic mess. Had to walk 3 km to port exit and once there no one knew which individual was assigned to which provider. Paid for 2 hours on 2 camels and received 45 minutes on one. Camel ride was through a garbage dump. Tea and cake service were fine; Young gentleman ushering us through restaurant shops was the only bright spot during the entire experience.
