A Memorable experience - Our Tour guide Pete was a great host. He greeted us with a smile, he was friendly, obliging and very knowledgeable. As our group consisted of a half day tour that we were doing and the rest of the group were doing a full day tour, Pete was very quick to organise the day for us all. First stop, Mt Lofty then onto Hahndorf followed by highlights of Adelaide. We'd highly recommend this tour. Thank you Pete for making the day a memorable one for us.

Great 1/2 day Tour - Great trip to get a feel for where everything is around Adelaide city. Hahndorf was a lovely little town. We spent 2 hours there and that was long enough to see most things. Great value for money and Deep was a very friendly and engaging tour guide.

Super tour of Adelaide and surrounding area - My wife and I took a full-day tour of Adelaide and the surrounding areas with Roger Brock from Ambler Touring. Roger grew up in the Adelaide area and provided a lot of very interesting background. He personalized the tour to match our interests including a visit and tasting at one very interesting winery, d’Arenberg’s. This winery’s tasting facility is shaped like a Rubik’s Cube with some very unusual art. We picked up a couple of bottles. We roamed the countryside visiting Mount Lofty, the Malaren Vale, and Hahndorf. His car was spotless and very comfortable. Roger was quite the historian and seemed to know people at every stop. One super stop was to the Woodside Cheese Wrights. We tasted some award-winning cheeses and bought some to take back to our place. We have been to many countries and taken lots of tours. Roger’s was the best. We highly recommend him.

We all behaved in with our bums on seat bus! Fun and good memory of excursion - We selected this excursion as we arrived on Port with ovation of the sea cruise, and our driver is parked just as you come off the port terminal. Driver went through the city and the whole trip he was very informative with what we were seeing . The bus was full and the trip was good . I m not the best passenger in a car or bus ,but he drove safely and slow which I liked . We visited the German little town handhorf, and the whole street both side is full of shops. It has cafes , pubs , lots of food and many variety shops . If you want to buy a cookoo clock ,one shop has so many various styles to buy . Great little town to visit. Our last stop before returning to Port was (Beerenberg) where you can pick your own strawberry ( but we did not have time for this, but lots of jams to buy. I bought 2 jars of fig and cinnamon jam . Yum! We really enjoyed the whole experience ,thank you to our driver for making it a memorable day. Veronique

Average tour - Enjoyed the visit to the pretty German village of Hahndorf but the Adelaide city highlights was a complete waste of time, we just drove past a couple of places of interest. The tour guide was not very knowledgeable and was more interested in getting an extra 40 AUD from us both, which wasn’t mentioned on the Viator website and also other couples from the cruise ship didn’t pay it, which I couldn’t understand. Compared to the other tours I booked through Viator which were great, I found this inferior and not value for the money.

Paul ! Not Adelaide. - Not the experience we signed up for . Twenty minute whip around Adelaide before we had to collect a full day tour experience - they decided to combine both trips. Off to Hahndorf-cakes in a pub that we didn’t know were part of the tour(irony is because we hadn’t signed up for it , we would have to pay). Two hour aimless walk around Hahndorf . Beautiful place but half an hour would have been adequate. Then lunch back at the same place - again not part of our tour . We then went to Mount Lofty - not the tour operator’s fault but it was cloudy and he was reluctant to take us there .Then we could have gone to a strawberry farm. Why? The guide himself , Paul, obviously thought he was very funny. Nobody else did ! If you asked a question he would reply “ I’m a tour operator not a historian!” or “I’m not educated “. His narration of Adelaide history was narrated in a tone of “I’ve done it so many times before”. Before we went to Adelaide we were in Perth and now in Melbourne . Both city tours and surrounding areas have been excellent . Paul questioned what else we would have wanted- we said maybe stopping for photos in Adelaide . His response was”we are not a walking tour” . Strange that we had to walk in Hahndorf for two hours and would have had to walk around a strawberry farm while the guide , no doubt, had free time. At first this excursion really put me off Adelaide . Fortunately we had some very successful trips thereafter. I’m sure he’ll have a rude rebuttal of my comments,as he has with others that have dared to complain ! It really wasn’t the best start to Adelaide.

Take the Bus - The driver needs to have more information on the history and be able to answer questions about the surrounding area when asked. He was very accommodating about time .
