Best guided tour of Addis! - We did a full day tour of Addis Ababa with guide Desale. This was a 10/10 experience which i highly recommend. Desale is very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Ethiopia. We also got to eat and see authentic spots in Addis which without guide would be hard to find. Highly recommend this tour to experience the authentic Addis Ababa.

Best three day solo trip I’ve had - I booked this tour for 9am the night before at midnight, and even on such short notice Mulugeta (who runs the tour company) was able to accommodate me and pick me up from the airport on time. I had an absolutely fantastic time and would not recommend any other tour group than these guys. I was solo and they were super friendly and Alex (my primary tour guide) was very knowledgeable about everything regarding Ethiopia and anything I asked him. Immediately after I said that I was hungry they took me to a great breakfast / lunch restaurant. I always felt safe. Then we got delicious coffee and essentially gave me a list of all of the worthwhile sites to see and then let me choose what I wanted to do. The first day with them ended at about 5:30pm, at which point they helped me find my hostel and dropped me off at the gate. On the first day we walked through the Mercato, visiting Menelik’s II palace, got some nice coffee, lunch, visited two museums, and some other stuff which was all great. That night Mulugeta also took me to a fantastic jazz concert called Fendika hosted only once every two weeks on Friday. Definitely the highlight of the trip. The first day was so good, in fact, I booked with them again for the next day to see everything there wasn’t enough time for on the first. On day two, we saw the pottery center, the mausoleum of Menelik II, ate some raw meat at a local restaurant, and went to an old train station converted into a coffee shop. This is the private tour to book if you want to see Addis Ababa!!

Excellent day tour in Addis - I had an excellent tour with Alex in Addis Ababa. We spent the whole day exploring and understanding different parts of the city, its history as well as its present. The day tour felt incredibly comprehensive and packed just to the right amount. It gave me a much greater understanding of Addis Ababa and Ethiopia, and I’d highly recommend to other visitors. It was also good value for everything we did. Highlights for me were making injera as well as visiting Entoto Park and the museum at Addis Ababa university.

Great tour! - Had a great day with Alex (guide) and Addisu (driver). Alex is extremely knowledgeable and gave me a lot of historical context to the sites we visited. We saw Entoto, the textile market, mercato and the Ethnological museum — very enjoyable and I learnt a lot about this great city and country. I felt well looked after the entire tour. Recommended!

A holiday at the top - Hello everyone, I would like to take a look back on my last trip to Ethiopia which was amazing! We visited southern Ethiopia (a 10-day road trip) from Addis. Our guide and driver were at the top and we got plenty of eyes! I highly recommend Mulugeta, from Addis Authentic Tours and Acham, our French-speaking guide (+251 93 119 1663).
