Awesome tour equally awesome tour company - I can’t imagine doing this tour with a more awesome team. From the welcome message from Joseph all the way to a safe drop off and warm farewell. We visited Elmira castle which was eye opening, emotional and educational Kukum canopy walkway was an experience. Great views a bit of a hike so be sure to be comfortable. Moses was our driver and host. He was simply amazing. He made sure we were comfortable, answered all our questions giving great insight into Ghana as this was our first trip. Helped us navigate every aspect of the tour, introduced us to the cocoa fruit. He a wealth of knowledge and fun. I had the greatest birthday surprise following an authentic Ghanaian meal which we loved. I would choose this team again and again. Medasi Joseph and Moses.

Stellar experience at Kakum and Elmina! - Yaw and Kwame were amazing guides, and even greater company! This was one of the best experiences - from a timely pick up in the morning, to a smooth drive, and an exhilirating experience at the Kakum National Park Canopy Walk. The trip was planned with every detail taken care of to make it as comfortable and memorable for anyone going. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Once In A Lifetime Experiences - Visiting Cape Coast/Elmina Slave Dungeon is a must see, more than a tour, an experience, when you visit Accra, Ghana. Citizen Tours, Kwame & Yaw were our private and exceptional guides. Even the drive to Elmina, was filled with historical facts and information about local sights. The Canopy Walkway Tour was beautiful and breathtaking, also a once in a life time experience. Yaw and Kwame of Citizen Tours, throughout the day were our hosts and we always felt safe and attended to. We highly recommend them for your trip too!

2nd trip in 6yrs - This was our second trip back in 6 years, and we’re not done yet! Citizen Tours company is by far the most efficient and accommodating tour company in Ghana. We enjoyed all the special attractions and attention to details even to those small things we missed. We are looking to return, prayerfully, next year and booking with Citizens Tours Company most definitely! We’re coming BACK home!

Great Day Trip from Accra - I had a great day trip from Accra to Kakum National Park and Elmina Castle. Yaw from Citizen Tours was a great guide and safe driver on the road. The tour is recommended for those who want to combine the beauty of the country with the shocking history of slavery. Elmina Castle tells this history through its impressive dungeons and rooms. Many men and women were forcefully taken from Ghana to the New World. They are the ancestors of many who now live in the Americas and Europe. Elmina Castle is not be missed by their descendants and all others who want to know more of the history of the Dutch in Ghana.

Good times - So much fun was had. Citizen Yaw and Kwame put together an amazingly joyful trip for us. When someone thoroughly enjoys what they do, their enthusiasm leaks onto all those around them. If you considering booking with these guys... JUST DO IT. I do think our whole trip can be summed up with just one word...KELEWELE!!!😂😂😂

Awesome experience on my first trip to Ghana - Really great experience with new ans old friends. All the activities were beginner- intermediate friendly and for young and older people. Really enjoyed the Elmina Castle tour and to accommodation. Yaw and Kwame were both great hosts and went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and well looked after. Even with the challenge of slow food service and poor customer service from a local restaurant, the guys kept their cool and handled everything so positively.

Pre-Wedding Weekend Excursion to Elmina - We just came back from a pre-wedding weekend getaway and Citizen Yaw and team handled a group of 35 adults and children like they were not herding cats (and they were 😂). We were assembled on a luxury coach with AC with scheduled early morning pick ups, operating on European time (punctual). We departed Accra’s west side at about 7:45am and arrived at Kukum National Park around 12:45pm. We had a couple of bathroom breaks en route from Accra to Cape Coast which was great for the kids so that slowed us down a bit. We did the treetop walk at Kukum national park and it was great for all ages even my 4 year old did it and had a great time. We headed to our resort for a buffet lunch, arriving about 4pm. Traditional dancers entertained us that evening. We also scheduled a night out which we unanimously opted out of due to the long day which shows more our age than the wonderful tour team 🤣. They were even able to assist with organising surprise birthday cakes for a couple of friends. The next day was a relaxing start. We could swim and visit the beach in the morning then headed for the Elmina tour and boat ride after lunch. We left Elmina just before 10:45 am and arrived in Accra around 2:45pm with one stop so it was quicker to get back. Upon return to Accra we fit in a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and a drive around Independence Square. The team were so patient and friendly and there was no stress at all. Whatever we needed was taken care of, even tummy meds. What more could we ask? Great job guys we appreciate you.
