Nice Tour of Tenerife July 2024 - Picked up in San Eugenio area, minibus was good sight to see as I hate overcrowded tours. We were introduced to our tour guide who was English/german speaking. First stop was Los Gigantes/Puerto de Santiago, amazing views. Travelled up the hills thru to Mirador Garachico, wow ehat a sight to see. Onwards down to Icod de los Vinos, home of Dragon Tree. A nice walk thru the town and back on the bus. Next stop was La Orotava, a few walks thru the streets, very steep in places. Walked thru Victoria Garden, a nice place to sit and admire surroundings. Next stop was Puerto de la Cruz, we had 1 and half hour free time. We walked down to the shore and it was stunning and round to McDonald's 🍟. Back on bus and headed round highway back towards south and into Candelaria. Very beautiful church to visit and stand admire its beauty. Guanches sculptures along the front are a must to see. I'd definitely love to return here. Very good tour day and would highly recommend.

Well worth the money - A fantastic selection of sights to see on a comfortable coach. A continuous commentary from the knowledgeable guide in 3 languages, who was also happy to take questions. A great way to see the best parts of Tenerife

COMPLETE EXPERIENCE - Today we were lucky enough to be able to visit: El Teide, Masca, Garachico and Icod. In short, see incredible landscapes and learn a little more about the history of this beautiful island. We want to thank both Juan Carlos, our driver who took us and brought us back without any problem, with professional and friendly treatment, and our guide, Enrique, who demonstrates a true passion for what he does and ability to make it more special. if the activity fits.

Tenerife Tour - Miguel the guide extremely knowledgeable and nice
All stop offs where interesting and time to enjoy the moment
We like tenerife and felt a tour would help us discover places we would find hard to visit
Would do this again absolutely 😁

Excellent day, worth every minute. Fantastic guide, magical places. - Excellent day, worth every minute! Enrique our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly & great fun. He told us so much about the history of the island and the places we visited. Getting to see the Black Madonna of Candelaria was a memorable moment.

The actual tour itinerary... - The actual tour itinerary was very good. However, the guide was hopeless and easily the worst in our experience. She had no idea that she was employed to look to the needs of everyone. Limited English did not excuse her non existent customer care awareness. With a competent guide this would have been a first rate tour. This guide requires extensive retraining.

Dreadful guide. But Tenerife Island is lovely. - There are two parts to this tour - the island of Tenerife which was lovely, and the tour guide (I didn't even get his name) who is so bad, probably one of the worst tour guides I have ever met. He is incredibly rude, his English is terrible, very bad pronunciation and grammar, and so difficult to understand, I gave up listening half way through. He was scruffy looking with a hole in his trousers and untied shoelaces, smoking on all the stops. I got the impression he just did not want to be there, at all, and had zero interest.
When we were getting on a bus at the start, he shouted at an elderly woman who had a mobility aid for walking, saying that she couldn't come on the tour, and said that she would have to spend the entire day sitting on the bus. She said - okay, fine, and they spoke some more. Next thing, he got on the bus and it drove off, leaving her on the side of the road on her own. It was awful. Next, it took 90 minutes to complete all of the hotel pick ups, before we got on the road properly - but this is just part and parcel of a tour like this. On the way back, they had another bus to bring people back to other hotels more quickly.
For the Los Gigantes Cliffs stop, you actually need a key for the toilets at the cafe, which our guide never told us about. We were waiting in a queue for 10 minutes until someone asked about the toilets and then we got the key - the guide should have told us this in advance.
In La Orotava, we visited the Casa de los Balcones which had a big nativity scene, but our guide didn't tell us anything about it. To be honest, we didn't know what we were doing, or going to see half the time, but he was obsessed about telling us about bananas and the banana farms - constantly for about an hour.
For lunch in Puerto de la Cruz, it was a nice restaurant, but pricey for what you get. They try to upsell massively, giving a dessert menu when we never asked for one. There are plenty of cheaper restaurants around the corner on the beachfront.
On the positives, you get to see a lot of the island, and the bus driver was great too. The group of people we were with were very nice and chatty.
But in hindsight, we should have hired a car and done it ourselves. It's a very long day when getting picked up at 8am, and then back to the hotel at 7pm. It would have been cheaper, easier more enjoyable if we had hired a car, and we wouldn't have wasted 90 minutes on hotel pickups and had to endure the most dreadful guide that I have ever come across.
