• Abydos - At 7:00 am, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor. You’ll then be driven in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Abydos city, heading north from Luxor to explore two of Egypt’s most well-preserved temples.

The Abydos Temple is dedicated to the ancient Egyptian god of the underworld.

Upon arrival in Abydos, you’ll begin your tour of the ancient sites, starting with the Abydos Temple. The Temple of Hathor at Dendera is considered one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, with vibrant colors still visible on its walls. Located about 135 km from Luxor, the ancient Egyptians believed the god of the underworld was buried here. The temple was constructed by King Seti I and completed by King Ramses II, and is also known as the Temple of Seti I.

Abydos city is situated approximately 420 km south of Cairo in the Sohag Governorate, and 135 km from Luxor. The paintings of gods and pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt.

• Dendera Temple Complex - Next, you’ll head to Dendera to visit the Temple of Hathor, the goddess of love and joy.

The temple is located in Dendera, north of Luxor. At the end of the tour, around 5:00 pm, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
