• The Scottish Wool Centre - Nestled in the quaint village of Aberfoyle, beneath the majestic Craigmore, the Scottish Wool Centre invites visitors to explore the rich history of Scottish wool. At the Spinner’s Cottage, guests can experience the traditional art of spinning wool into yarn. Arrive by 11:00 am to witness The Gathering dog and duck show, where a shepherd showcases the skills of a Scottish sheepdog and shares insights into the history of sheep farming. (Open April to September) Visitors can also explore the outdoor paddocks, home to rare breeds of sheep and goats.

The centre boasts a spacious retail area offering a variety of items, including cashmere, Harris Tweed, country and casual wear, Scottish gifts, and an extensive selection of whisky.

• Aberfoyle - Join professional forager and herbalist Rox Madeira for a foraging walk. This unique experience offers an easy walking route with a renowned forager, uncovering the hidden treasures of the Scottish countryside: Wild Food and Wild Medicine. It’s a distinctive way to connect with Scotland, its history, and culture, while learning about plant folklore, historical plant use in Scotland, and modern applications.
• The Steamship Sir Walter Scott Ltd. - Travel to Trossachs Pier, Loch Katrine, where you can choose to embark on a cruise aboard the 124-year-old Steamship Sir Walter Scott. The cruise staff will bring to life the tales of Sir Walter Scott, Rob Roy MacGregor, the construction of Glasgow’s water supply infrastructure, the natural beauty of the loch, and more.

For those opting out of the cruise, explore the area by climbing the footpath to a breathtaking new scenic tower and lookouts at the Rhoderick Dhu watchtower site, just above Trossachs Pier. In the 1700s, this elevated location was used by clansmen to alert Loch Katrine-born outlaw and Clan Chief Rob Roy MacGregor of approaching Redcoats. In the late 1700s, two wicker huts were constructed here for writers, poets, and artists to draw inspiration from the stunning panoramic views, marking the site as the birthplace of Scottish tourism!

• Three Lochs Forest Drive - Known as ‘The Highlands in Miniature’, this picturesque 7-mile forest drive passes by three beautiful lochs – Lochan Reòidhte, Loch Drunkie, and Loch Achray. The route was inaugurated in 1977 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Enjoy the breathtaking Trossachs scenery and keep an eye out for woodland and aquatic wildlife. Spot deer among the trees, listen for the chatter of woodland birds and red squirrels, and – if fortunate – witness an osprey fishing on one of the lochs.

At the drive’s end, visit the eco-friendly Achray Farm, where you can purchase artisanal goat’s milk ice cream made daily with foraged ingredients. Learn about the freely roaming goats or meet their incredibly cuddly Shetland cows.

• Kilmahog - Meet and feed the famous Highland Cows! Honey, Dubh, and Baxter are three ‘Hairy Coos’ eager for visitors to offer them snacks (potatoes and carrots), which they adore!
• The Kelpies & The Helix - Towering at 100 feet and weighing over 300 tonnes each, the enchanting Kelpies are a marvel of engineering. These are the largest equine sculptures globally, celebrating Scottish folklore and the heritage of local mining traditions.
