Well worth the money spent! - Jamie, our tour guide, was very friendly and helpful. He explained with clarity and humor the history of the places. The ride was smooth. Dunnotar castle was the highlight of the trip and it was well worth it. The place is beautiful and you will be amazed at how it was built at that time. The visit to Benholm mill was fascinating. The technology of 1700s was impressive and you will be in awed. Overall, I enjoy the trip very much. Thank you Jamie!

Relaxed, Family-Friendly Dunnottar Tour - We did the Dunnottar Castle & Coastal Heritage tour as a family and had a brilliant time. Jamie’s warmth, easy humour, and vivid stories brought the coast and castle to life, and the pace was perfectly relaxed - no rushing, plenty of time to explore and take photos. The small group (just 7 of us) made it even better. Both kids (11 and 15) were genuinely engaged. The little picnic breaks were an unexpected and thoughtful treat. Highly recommended!

Packed with impressions - Small group trip in a van with a great guide. Takes you through Aberdeenshire from mountains to coast with several scenic stops on the way. The two longest stops at Dunottar Castle and in Stonehaven. You are getting a full day of many beautiful places and packed with impressions. And still, I think I could have gone a few more hours yet.

Dunnottar Castle! A bucket item…!😀 - Chris and I truly enjoyed our tour with Alex to Dunnottar, the coastal villages of Gourdon and Stonehaven and…a fun educational visit to a historic mill (The Mill of Benholm). Lunch at a pub in Stonehaven and a stroll around the harbor with an ice cream was perfect. Alex was attentive and engaging with talks of the various locations, the region, it’s culture and history. We intentionally wanted a small group tour, the 7 passenger van was perfect and we enjoyed our other tour attendees from Canada. Intimate, easy going, fun. Sincere thanks! Chris and Gary

Was very happy that the... - Was very happy that the tour still went ahead with just one person. Alex was the guide for the day and he has a wealth of knowledge about pretty much everything, especially history! Dunnottar was magnificent and truly the highlight. The coastal fishing villages were a bit quiet but interesting nonetheless. Highly recommend.

Small group tour, great day out - The castle is located on the cliff and there was a fair bit of steps to negiotiate. There were cobble stones lined footpath which can be slippery in wet. Definitely not for those with restricted mobility. This was a small group tour with only four of us. It was personalised and our guide Jamie was great.Good sense of humour and knowledgeable about the sites we visited.

Overall very good experience - This was the tour company that was hired by a conference I was attending. The tours were well planned and the vans and busses were well maintained. One day I was with a smaller group and two tours were on a larger bus. On the small group day we had Alec, who was personable, funny, and so knowledgeable. He earns a 5 star review! One of the days of the large tour there were some stops that seemed quite rushed despite being told that we would have some time to look around on our own. But otherwise there were no issues. The other large group day we had a guide with us, but they admitted they were just a chaperone, so they told us where we were going and gave us some ideas of what to see, but otherwise they were not a guide. Entrance fees were not included this day. This may have been what was prearranged, but the tour was not advertised as being unguided. Grampian was responsive to emails and even shifted the starting location based on where we were mainly staying.
