Here, you will also get a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the grand funeral complex.
• Great Sphinx - Conclude your tour with a visit to The Valley Temple, where King Chephren’s body was mummified. Here, you can also enjoy a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. It’s a perfect spot for taking amazing photos with the Sphinx in various fun poses, with assistance from your guide.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine discovered in a temple ruin from a later period at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple contained several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, with others discovered during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also revealed several statues of Menkaure.
• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your day tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which showcases the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. It features over 250,000 genuine artifacts dating back 5,000 years, including a special exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun, with treasures, gold, and jewelry buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before their discovery in the 1920s.
