Giza Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis City
Pyramids of Giza - After breakfast at the hotel, at 8 am, an expert tour guide will pick you up to begin a full-day visit to the Giza Pyramids. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Visit the Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren, who built the second pyramid at the Giza Plateau. Here, you can also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. Our guide will assist you in taking professional photos.
Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Continue your tour to the Saqqara area, located 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid, also known as the Pyramid of Djoser, an important part of the pyramid evolution process, transitioning from a simple mastaba to its well-known form. This pyramid is considered the first stone structure in the world.
Memphis and Saqqara - Drive to Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, home to the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day Tour in Alexandria
Alexandria - After breakfast at the hotel, at 7:00 am, transfer from Cairo to Alexandria in a modern air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival, start your trip by visiting the Roman Theater, which features marble seats for up to 800 spectators, galleries, mosaic flooring, and a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman villas and baths. Then, visit Pompey’s Pillar, followed by the Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, which include tombs on three levels and the Triclinium, where relatives feasted the dead. Inside, find 2nd Century AD statues of Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armor.
Continue by visiting Elsawary, Montaza Garden, Alexandria Library, and from the outside, see Qaitbay Citadel and El Mursi Abu Elabas. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Alexandria.
Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo, Ben Ezra Synagogue
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After breakfast at the hotel, depart by air-conditioned vehicle back to Cairo. Upon arrival, begin your day tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum displays a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the treasures, gold, and jewelry of Tutankhamen, which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in the 1920s.
Old Cairo - Visit the old part of Cairo, as Egypt was one of the first countries to embrace Christianity. Explore the Church of Abu-Sergah, St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the old Jewish Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Day Tour Visiting Islamic Cairo, the Citadel & Khan Al-Khalili
Islamic Cairo - Visit the largest and most significant mosques in Cairo, including the Sultan Hassan Mosque, also known as Madrasa El Sultan Hassan, founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D. The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a massive Mamluk-era mosque and madrassa near the Citadel in Cairo. Its construction began in 757 AH/1356 CE and was completed three years later without any delays. At the time, the mosque was remarkable for its size and innovative architectural components. It was designed to include schools for all four Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali. (2 hours spent)
Cairo Citadel - Visit the Citadel of Cairo, where you can see the famous Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque.
Khan Al-Khalili - Conclude your day tour with a visit to Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar.
