Highlights

BALTRA – SANTA CRUZ ISLAND – ISABELA ISLAND

Santa Cruz Island - Option 1: Itinerary for flights arriving at Baltra before 12:00 PM

At Baltra airport, an English-speaking guide will pick you up to go to Puerto Ayora to enjoy your lunch. After lunch, you’ll take the speedboat to Isabela Island. This can be a bumpy ride so provide yourself a waterproof jacket and motion sickness medication if necessary. After a drive around the island, your driver will drop you off at your hotel.

Santa Cruz Island - Option 2: Itinerary for flights arriving at Baltra after 12:00 PM

If your flight is scheduled to arrive after 12:00 PM, you’ll stay at Santa Cruz Island on the first day because the last speedboat to Isabela Island leaves around 03:00 PM. You won’t have lunch in this case. If you have time you have an activity, either Tortuga Bay or Charles Darwin Station. The rest of the tour usually looks like this: Day 2: Santa Fe, Day 3 Bahia half day tour & Tortuga Bay / Charles Darwin Station, Day 4 Santa Cruz highlands, afternoon boat to Isabela, Day 5 Wetlands & Tintoreras, Day 6 Los Tuneles, Day 7 morning boat to Santa Cruz and transfer out.

TINTORERAS - WETLANDS - FLAMINGO LAGOON

Las Tintoreras - In the morning, you will have a tour to The Wetlands where you will visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center to spot small and giant tortoises in their natural habitat. The next activity is a visit to The Wall of Tears.

Additionally, you will visit a small lava tunnel. Above the tunnel you can see the intertidal landscape that offers a tapestry of Galapagos Sesuvium between El Túnel del Estero and Love Beach.

  • Please have in mind that the total length of the walk in The Wetlands area is approximately 3 to 4 hours.

After lunch, you will have a little break and then you will visit Tintoreras Islet, where white-tip sharks known as Tintoreras come daily to rest at the bottom. You will go to the pier of Puerto Villamil, to board a boat to cross to the islet which is located across the bay. It will be necessary for passengers to use walking shoes or sneakers (closed shoes) to cross the volcanic rocks.

SNORKELING IN LOS TUNELES

Los Tuneles - Early in the morning, you will go on boat ride from Puerto Villamil. You will explore the brilliant scenery in Los Tuneles which is considered the most beautiful place to snorkel in Isabela Island. Around the Los Tuneles you will find a highly contrasted color for snorkeling with clear, calm water. You will get the chance to spot large quantities of seabirds and species feedings such as tortoises, swimming iguanas, sea lions, manta rays, Galapagos penguins, lobsters, and sea snakes. This exciting activity takes approximately about 6 hours including the boat rides and a snack before a short hike.

CHARLES DARWIN RESEARCH STATION – TORTUGA BAY

Santa Cruz Island - At 06:00 AM you will take the speedboat to Santa Cruz Island where you’ll have breakfast. Then you’ll go to the Charles Darwin Research Station where the guides will explain more about the famous giant tortoises. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Tortuga Bay. Think: white sand, captivating blue water and observing marine iguanas, pelicans and flamingos. It is a 2.5 km (30-45 minutes) walk over a paved path from Puerto Ayora. You can swim here. It’s possible to return from Tortuga Bay to Puerto Ayora by boat. This costs $ 10 p.p. + $ 10 for the boat ride of the guide. The departure time is at 05:30 PM.

SANTA FE ISLAND

Santa Fe Island - Brace yourself for an encounter unlike any other. Today you will either visit Santa Fe or Pinzon Islands. This will depend on the Galapagos National Park Regulations and will be decided on the day the tour operates.

If you visit Santa Fe, you will discover a pristine bay with crystal-clear waters for a thrilling snorkeling adventure. Following this, a wet landing awaits at Playa Escondida or the Garrapatero Beach on Santa Cruz Island, giving you ample time to explore this mesmerizing beach.

Alternatively, the Pinzon Island tour unveils an amazing display of marine iguanas and playful sea lions. La Fe, is a picturesque beach cradled by mangroves and rocky terrain, showcasing an array of captivating marine life from sea turtles to small sharks and colorful fish. During this specific day tour, you will also have the opportunity to experience “Pezca Vivencial” which is translated as “experiential fishing” focused on the enjoyment and personal connection, rather than just the catch.

BAHIA HALF DAY & SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS HALF DAY TOUR

Santa Cruz Island - With the Bay Tour you visit the highlights around Puerto Ayora by boat. The first destination will be La Loberia where you find sea lions. Next you will go to Punta Camaño Islet. Here you will snorkel with sea lions and a large variety of fish. Your next activity will be a visit to the Channel of Love. This is another formation by fissure that results in a beautiful sleepy water channel with excellent scenic beauty. Finally Playa de Los Perros, a 15-minute walk until you reach the beach. In the afternoon you visit the highlands of Santa Cruz with the giant tortoises. You will do a small hike on a privately owned ranch and you can see the big tortoises in their natural habitat.

Excellent trip overall. - The trip was excellent. Snorkeled with giant tortoises, sharks, penguin, sea lions, sea horses. Every day trip ran like clockwork. All the drivers were prompt and on time. All the employees were very friendly and professional. The only thing which was a major turn off was the San Vincente hotel. The staff were very friendly and professional, but the hotel was a dump. It reminded by of a cheap hotel on the side of a highway in America. It was clean but bare bones and extremely dated. I would give it a 2 star rating. You got a bed, towels, soap and toilet paper. No refrigerator. That was about it. There were dogs barking all night long. The thing I disliked the most was it did not have a safe in the room. That created security issue that was impossible to properly overcome. According to most first world countries you are never supposed to give your passport to someone else to hold. It is lent to you by your country and belongs to your country. Also I had a large sum of cash on me. My choices were to give the passport and cash to the hotel to put in their safe, hold onto the money and passport (perhaps it could get lost or stolen) or leave it in my unsecure luggage and possible have it get stolen by the staff. I would have been fine paying another $40 or $50 a night for a better and more secure hotel. Overall, I was very happy with the trip.

The best holidays of my life! - I decided last-minute to escape to the Galapagos for the Easter holidays, and Rebecca adventures and especially Andrea gave me fantastic help. Literally just a few hours before my flight took off from Europe they have organised all the details of my 7-days holidays, and booked all my accommodation, local transfers and exciting tours. All was fantastic! They provided a high quality and reliable service, with local and reliable providers, everything went absolutely smoothly and I did not only got the chance to participate in amazing programs but I also met truly kind people on the road. It was undoubtedly the best holidays of my life, and I hope to explore some of their other adventures in the future.

ISLAND HOPPING MADE EASY... - After several days of frustration, searching the plethora of tour companies in The Galapagos, I was pleasantly surprised when Rebecca Travel was not only quick to respond but LISTENED to my needs. After deciding that the 7 Day Island Hopping Tour was the best for me, I immediately got a descriptive DAILY Itinerary of the events, expectations and preparations for each day. The hotels exceeded expectations. They were modern, all had fast wifi and convenient to walk to restaurants and sites. Best of all the customer service was fast, efficient and they helped with everything from entry requirements into Ecuador and The Galapagos to coordinating Covid PCR tests as we exited the country. HIGHLY RECOMMEND REBECCA TRAVELS and know you will appreciate how they go above and beyond to accommodate their guests.

Enchanted Galapagos - We (my husband and I ) had an amazing time in the Galapagos Islands! We did this trip at the end of October 2020 after the stressful lockdown covid months, so we were looking forward to unwind and visit for the first time the enchanted islands as our vacation. The tours designed by Rebecca Adventure were perfect and customized to our taste and needs. We visited Santa Cruz and Isabela and it was perfect because there weren't many tourists at the time due to the pandemic. We were truly impressed with all the activities, the wildlife and the services provided by our tour guides. We got to see most of the land and marine fauna that we expected, including hammerhead sharks. It was without a doubt one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We highly recommend Rebecca Adventure as your tour agency for the Galapagos and Ecuador. Biosecurity measures were very well respected on the islands, so its safe to travel! If you're looking to come to Ecuador and the Galapagos this is the time, still less tourists, the wildlife is truly impressive and besides life is short, take risks and ENJOY IT!

Amazing - We decided to go with Rebecca Adventure Travels after shopping around online and reading the reviews. Delighted to say we were not disappointed and couldn’t have asked for a more well organised and special trip. We went with the 8 day budget island hopping tour and were pleasantly surprised with how nice our hotels and food were. Did not seem budget to us. The tours on each island were very well organised and of the highest standard - something we learned speaking to people on other tours who did not seem to have the same special treatment/experience as we did. Our guides were all brilliant, really enthusiastic, knowledgeable and just very good company! In particular Michael, Darwin, Cesar, and Javiar. Thank you for an amazing week we will never forget and thank you to Rebecca Adventure Travels. Easily one of the best trips of our lives.

Inconsistent at best - Mixed results. The first half of the tour was outstanding. The second half of the tour seemed disorganized with poor communication and while portions of the second half were enjoyable, it didn’t really meet our expectations. Given the great reviews this company and tour got, we were shocked at how poorly things were executed in the second half of the trip.
