Great family safari! - Many thanks to Bashir for his kindness, his listening and his many knowledge shared throughout these 6 days of safari (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) where we had the chance to see many animals! About fifty lions but also cheetahs, leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes, 2 black rhinos (from afar) and many others! Many thanks also to Ashraf, our chef, who prepared us delicious dishes and desserts, every day different! We highly recommend the agency Wakanda Serengeti!

Amazing safari - It was amazing. The safari was beautiful. Personally I was with Guide Andrew and he is an excellent Guide, he was smiling and very welcoming. He explained to us things to know about animals (how to recognize them, their way of life, their diet...) and the environment in which we found ourselves. During this safari I also met the Ernest Guide who was an equally good Guide. I would like to thank them and highly recommend this company.

Amazing safari - Our trip with Wakanda was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, every moment was filled with excitement and wonder. Eduardo, our guide, deserves special recognition for his exceptional knowledge and experience. Special thanks also go to our chef, Dullah, whose culinary skills delighted our taste buds with every meal. The combination of Eduardo's guidance and Dullah's delicious food made our week with Wakanda not just enjoyable but truly exceptional. We cannot thank Eduardo and Dullah enough for creating such a memorable experience for us. This trip exceeded all expectations and will remain a cherished memory for years to come. Wakanda has our highest recommendation for anyone seeking an enriching and enjoyable travel experience.

Nothing will ever compare to this experience of a lifetime! - This was absolutely the most incredible experience of our lifetime. I did a bit of research into the right company and safari. I never thought I would be able to do this as a single mom on moderate income, but anyone can make this happen! Don't let the word budget lead you to believe you are making any sacrifices. would not change a thing and so believe the authentic camping experience enhanced the experience sleeping up close and personal in the Serengeti with animals around us and the sounds of birds and various wildlife ever present. First of all, I planned about 1.5 years ahead and was able to communicate easily with Bartho who answered every silly question in a timely manner. I feel so fortunate to have shared the 7 day/6 night trip with our experienced and knowledgeable guide Felix and hidden gem of a gourmet cook Doulah. We instantly felt like they were long lost family and were so comfortable with them. We were with them practically 24/7 for a week and it was perfect. We felt so safe and confident with Felix, he has 10 years' experience and truly understands animal behavior. There were a couple of super close moments , which would have been too close for comfort had it not been for my total confidence in Felix abilities to understand animal behavior. We felt that his total purpose was to ensure the best experience for us to see the most animals possible and capture the best photos and let us determine how much or little time we spent with each encounter. He knew the area so well that we were frequently able to observe animals practically alone for as long as possible. I think there were only two times we encountered a large group of other cars. Overall, it was as if we had park to practically to ourselves. Doulah was such an accomplished chef and we could not believe the meals we received. We had people approach us at picnic sites asking about our company and how we were able to get so lucky to have such an impressive meal when they had sandwiches..lol. Dinner was an easy 3 course meal and we had fresh bread and soup every dinner. It was emotional saying good-bye and he prepared us a special last meal that he personalized for us Americans , even making a special cake commemorating my sons acceptance to University. We modified trip to include Arusha National Park. This was a substancial additional fee but it was the only park that allows a walking safari . The park provides an armed ranger and it lasted about 1.5 hours. We got up close to warthogs, giraffe and Cape Buffalo. It provided a unique perspective out of the car. We did get to see Black and White Colobus monkeys, but, we did see a lot more when we went on a separate Kilimanjaro day hike. The Mataruni Waterfalls and coffee plantation tour was so much better than I expected! We had a new guide, Ben, who was also super nice and knowledgeable. We had the best views of Kilimanjaro and he was happy to stop along the way for photos. My son found him really relatable and he made the 2 hour drive there from Arusha pleasant. This excursion provided a cultural opportunity as this coffee "plantation" was a local village in the mountain run by a small community. We were able to participate in creating coffee from beginning to end and enjoyed traditional song..The one disappointment was the "hot spring" portion as it was an additional 1.5 treacherous road trip to what was more like a community swimming hole. We arrived, but upon trying to enter decided against it as it was super crowded and loud. I can not imagine any other company allowing for a better experience. I am so happy with this trip and I feel that this will be the best memory of my life. It completely exceeded any dream I had created about seeing animals in the wild in Africa! I had no idea the other parks existed, and we were able to experience animals in the forest, savannah and in the mountains! Our guide and cook just took the trip to a different level and recommend them 1000% percent. Jambo

Absolutely exceeded any expectations of a dream safari..lifetime memory created!! - I do not even know where to start..it was a dream of mine to go on an African safari. We love every animal that exists and have travelled the US National Parks but Africa was the bucket list trip. I thought it would be near impossible considering my modest income as a single mom. I did research and was surprised to see this type of "budget" trip existed. That word is misleading because I feel we had the most exciting experience ever. I went with my teenage son upon his graduation from High School. I started planning about a year and a half ahead. I communicated frequently via Whatsapp with the company representative Bartho. He explained everything and responded to all my questions in a timely manner. I can not explain how much our guide Felix and cook Doula enhanced the experience. I truly believe that our guide allowed us to have the best experience possible. It was a perfect match. Imagine being with a stranger 24/7..all day and through all meals ..we felt like he was family instantly. His experience was noted immediately and witnessing his knowledge in animal behavior provided us both with such a sense of safety and confidence that we would get the best views and photos possible. He was able to provide us a private tour that for the majority of time allowed us private animal viewing with very few other cars around. In our 7 day safari.. I can think of only 2 instances of multiple cars at one site. He allowed us as much time to watch the animals and allowed us to skip or move on as desired. Our cook , Doula, is a hidden gem. In addition to his adorable and kind personality..his food was gourmet!. Our lunches that were prepared for our safaris was 2-3 courses and dinner always 3 courses. Fresh bread, fruit, local hot dishes, deserts..insanely delicous and bountiful. We had people from other companies approach us at picnic sites to inquire about the meals as they watched us dine on exquisite food while they were eating sandwhiches..lol The camping experience was an extra plus, our site in the Serengeti was shared with a troop of mongoose, surrounded by antelope and Zebra and sounds of birds and hyena at night. The Ngorongoro Crater site had animals and was in a beautiful mountaintop location, albeit hundreds of other campers. There are bathrooms and showers available and surprisingly at night it was very quiet. We chose not to attempt the showers due to the vast number of people but we were prepared with wipes etc.. We went to multiple National parks that I had never heard of. Beginning from the first day at Tarangire, I thought it could not get any better than this..each day was a new and different experience..when you think you have seen enough lions..you see more in new situations..on rocks, in trees, with their cubs, mating. Just non-stop new experiences. We saw everything close up..it was like living the Lion King..in all sorts of environments, Savannah, forest, mountainous and Desert like habitat. We added the hot air balloon ride which I highly recommend. It allows a different perspective and to experience the sunrise on the Serengeti from the air was breathtaking! Also, we modified trip to include Arusha National Park for a substantial additional fee, but it is the only place you can go on a walking safari (with an armed park ranger) For a little over an hour we walked and saw wart hogs, giraffe and Cape Buffalo at a close distance. Black and White Colobus monkeys are there, but honestly..if you are doing a Kilimanjaro day hike or more, we saw tons there. Our trip to Mataruni Falls and coffee plantaton were an outstanding way to end our trip. We had guide, Ben, that day who was again a kind, fun and knowledgeable guide. My son related to him as he was a younger guide. He made our trip extra fun as it was a 2 hour drive from Arusha. We had the best views of Kilimanjaro on that trip and he was more than happy to stop. We did not enjoy the hot springs as it was a treacherous road trip to get there ( and we had spent 6 days in the bush on some rough roads) and when we got there it was more like a community swimming hole nd we chose not to even go in..I know others have had a better experience.. I already have 2 friends that are planning on doing my trip...I can not imagine having a better experience with any other company and 1000% recommend the dynamic duo of Felix and Doula! I regret not having learned Swahili before trip, I had so much time and it seems a relatively easier language to learn the basics at minimum.. Jambo

An amazing and seamless experience from the beginning to the end of the whole process. - Serengeti Wakanda ensured we had a trip of a lifetime. The whole experience was seamless from beginning to end - Starting with the quote process and having all my questions answered, I was impressed with the promptness of the responses from Aishwarya and her collaboration to make the tour customized to our needs; continuing to a relaxing and seamless tour; and ending with a very thoughtful personalized gifts and it has been a very good experience from beginning to end. Our tour took us to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro (staying the majority of the time at Serengeti). An important factor to making a safari trip great is the tour guide. We were incredibly lucky to have Bashir as our guide! He knew the lay of the parks so well and had a deep understanding of animal patterns and behavior (which meant he knew where to take the jeep next, or tell us what to patiently watch out for!). He was also very persistent, which enabled us to see various animals. We stayed at some of the best locations during our trip including Sametu Camp in Serengeti (which was in the heard of the park) and Lion’s Paw in Ngorongoro. Serengeti Wakanda exceeded our expectations in every way!

The most experienced drivers, especially Andrew - We couldn't have dreamed of it better. We saw all the big five animals, and even saw a leopard twice. Andrew and Dullah were so amazing that after 6 days it was hard to say goodbye. Andrew has a wealth of knowledge about each animal and Tanzania. Dullah prepares amazing and huge meals. The excellent tour plan allowed us to enjoy the Safari to the fullest. They will adapt to all your needs.

The most beautiful experience of our lives! - We left from Arusha for 6 days of safari with Bachir (guide) and Achraf (cook) through the parks of Tarangire, Ngorongoro (Ndutu) and Serengeti. What can I say, this experience was the most beautiful of our entire lives. And even if nature has spoiled us enormously, it is also and above all thanks to Bachir’s experience and insight. Everything was perfect and even beyond our expectations. Bachir was our only reference and we felt confident from the start and throughout the stay. It adapts completely to our desires, needs, pace without forgetting the enormous mental load that we have been spared thanks to it (road, safety, timetables, explanations, observation, etc.). We are extremely grateful for all the organization planned to make this experience the most beautiful possible. With Bachir, we had the chance to observe dozens of lions in all situations, a leopard, 7 cheetahs (including a hunting scene), dozens of elephants, giraffes, hippo, the incredible migration of wildebeest and zebras, birds of all types, hyenas, jackals, antelopes, monkeys…. In short, you will have understood, all our wishes (even those we didn't expect) were granted. Achraf, our super chef, delighted us morning, noon and evening in quantity and diversity. He is passionate and cooks from the heart, we didn't miss anything and everything was a real treat. Bachir and Achraf form a great duo who will amaze you with their humor and exchange. We feel like we have two new friends. As for the organization of the safari before and during the trip, it was impeccable. We were able to ask all the questions and got all the answers we needed. They adapted perfectly to our changes and unforeseen events (staggered flights, change of itinerary before departure, etc.). As Bachir told us throughout the trip, we were welcomed and treated like queens! Thank you to the whole team for this unforgettable experience. Hakuna Matata!

Amazing experience with a great guide and an incredible chef - We booked our safari with Wakanda after reading the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Our guide and driver Felix was very experienced and was amazing at spotting animals. We saw the big 5 and many more animals thanks to his skills. He was also a very safe and secure driver and was very informative, answering all our questions skilfully and professionally. He was considerate of our needs and wants and is the best guide we've ever had on a trip. The biggest surprise of this safari however was the food: the "master chef" as we came to call him, Abdullah, was absolutely amazing: he prepared restaurant level meals three times a day for us, with the best fresh baked bread we ever tasted, with amazing sauces and with dessert each time, somehow doing this all in small field kitchens where I could not even manage to fry an egg. We were totally blown away by the quality and amount of food on this "budget" safari. Most other groups had small packed lunchboxes where we were getting full three course meals. Sleeping in the tent among the animals was also quite an experience! The tents are large enough to stand up in and the sleeping mats are more than comfortable enough. Communication with the head office was also very clear, by email and WhatsApp. All around this was definitely an amazing experience that surpassed our expectations and we would wholeheartedly recommend going with Wakanda for your safari, you will not be disappointed. The price was also very much competitive. Wakanda forever!
