Highlights

CASABLANCA -RABAT - FES

Casablanca - Casablanca Airport/City (we can also start the tour from Marrakech or Rabat, depending on your inbound flight). Upon arrival at the airport, we will hold a placard with your name. If the pick-up is from a hotel or Riad, we will contact you or the host by phone. Depending on your arrival time, your first visit will be to the Corniche promenade along the Atlantic coast, followed by Casablanca’s landmark, the Hassan II Mosque. This mosque features the second tallest minaret in the world, with guided visits available from September to June on Saturday to Thursday at 9am, 10am, 11am, and 2pm, and on Friday at 9am and 2pm. In July and August, guided visits are daily at 2:30pm. After the mosque visit, you will depart for Rabat

Rabat - Heading north to Rabat, stop for lunch before exploring the Oudayas Kasbah. Built by Moulay Ismail between 1672 and 1727, this fortress was designed to protect the city. Next, visit the Hassan Tower and the stunning Mohammed V Mausoleum, which features stained glass windows, white marble, and a wrought-iron entryway.

Fes - Enjoy a half-day guided tour of the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, escorted by a local official guide. Begin at the Royal Palace and walk through the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah. Next, you’ll head to the Kasbah Borj fortress for a stunning panoramic view over the Medina. Visit a local factory specializing in ceramics and Fez tiles. Your guide will drop you off at the Blue Gate, where you’ll start navigating the narrow streets. Highlights include the Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, Nejjarine Square, Chouara Tanneries, and Bab Bou Jeloud gates. You’ll return to your Riad in the afternoon.

FES – IFRANE – MIDELT- ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD - MERZOUGA

Fes - Depart Fes in the morning.

Ifrane - We head south toward the Middle Atlas Mountains, with our first stop in Ifrane. Often referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’, Ifrane becomes very crowded during the winter season as it is home to Morocco’s main ski resort.

Midelt - We continue driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through beautiful scenery filled with valleys of apple, apricot, and plum orchards. We will stop for lunch in Midelt. As we cross the High Atlas Mountains via various road passes, the landscape rapidly changes to palm groves. Along the way, we will stop for panoramic photos and breaks.

Merzouga - Continue to Merzouga, enjoy mint tea, and embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a stunning sunset. Spend the night in a Berber nomad tent, with dinner under the stars. Overnight in Merzouga with breakfast and dinner included.

MERZOUGA - RISSANI - TODGHA GORGES - DADES VALLEY

Merzouga - Start the day with a sunrise in the desert.

Rissani - The vehicle heads northwest toward Rissani, a city that was once a bustling caravanserai trading center. Historically known for its gold and slave auctions, Rissani is also the hometown of the current dynasty.

Todgha Gorge - We head to the High Atlas Mountains once more, this time toward Tinghir, one of the most beautiful oases, surrounded by mountains and canyons. Drive along the Todra Gorge, a striking valley with rocky canyons and towering palm trees. Take a short walk through the gorge before breaking for lunch.

Dades Valley Activities - Continue through Dades Valley, enjoying its romantic scenery and rich landscapes. Overnight in Dades with breakfast and dinner included.

DADES - OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - MARRAKECH

Dades Gorges - Depart in the morning.

Ouarzazate - Travel to Ouarzazate, stopping in the “roses city” and visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt and Atlas Studios.

Ait Ben Haddou - Our next destination is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, built in the 11th century. This iconic location has been featured in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator, and Alexander. We will have lunch here.

Marrakech - Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, passing Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight in Marrakech with breakfast included in the Riad.

A Taste of Morocco - Abdul is an excellent Driver and Tour guide. We felt very comfortable and safe while touring. He explained the history and culture of the Moroccan people. It was a trip of a life time because of the variety places we visited but especially the people (Abdul).

Excellent experience of Morocco City Tours with Abdul from Viator - Since it was the first time our family planed to visit Morocco, we booked a private tour with Viator. Abdul came meet us in Marriott Casablanca and we spent 4 days on the road from Casablanca to Chefchaouen to Fes, Rabat and so on. Since it’s a private tour, we often changed the schedule or route. Abdul always listened well and gave out good suggestions, and he was very patient and drove safe and well. He gave out his advice only according to our desires and time frame, never trying to push for extra things or taking us to merchants selling goods. We took our time the whole trip and was very happy to have him with us. Excellent experience!

Excellent Morocco tour with Abdul - We had a great time in Morocco and enjoyed every part of the tour. Abdul was great, friendly and knowledgeable, and took care of us really well. Morocco is very diverse and we got to experience the old towns, the Sahara desert, the Atlas mountains, and also the blue Chefchaouen and the city of Casablanca. The long drives were filled with fun and music, and this will be an unforgettable trip for us. I would highly recommend it.

Best Time in Morocco - My friend and I did this tour with Abdul and had an amazing time! Abdul is super knowledgeable about all of Morocco and he was able to answer all of our questions about the history of the country. Our favorite part of the trip was the Merzouga Desert…our photos were breathtaking and we had a great time meeting the people there. Definitely don’t plan to come to Morocco and only visit Marrakech and Casablanca. Take this tour and see the whole country!
