Highlights

Moshi /Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara National Park - We would pick up you from your hotel after breakfast to visit the Lake Manyara National park, which stretches along the 600 m high Rift Valley Escarpment: and is a good spot for combining the nature with adventure. The alkaline Lake Manyara is the center of attraction. Many water birds gather at the lake and more than 400 bird species are found in the park.

Its diverse vegetation supports to a large numbers of herbivorous and the carnivores ultimately. Some of the animals you would encounter here are the monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands and elephants around the acacia trees. Manyara lions, lounging in the trees are a great sight to see in the afternoon drive. After your game drive is off, head to the lodge, where you will spend the night.

Great Way to Experience Tanzania - This safari was truly the highlight of my time in Tanzania. When my friend first suggested that we travel to Zanzibar I immediately said that there was no way I was going to journey all the way to the eastern coast of Africa without even looking into a Safari. We then began to research safaris and quickly discovered that there is a very wide range of what you can get based on what you are willing to spend. This 4 day safari ended up providing the absolute best value for what we were willing to spend. Our guide, Antony, was so much fun to be around and incredibly knowledgeable. He was also an incredible driver which is a very important detail because you do end up spending so much of the safari in the car, Day 2 ended up being about 9 hours of driving from Mikumi to Nyerere. There are definitely some crazy drivers in Tanzania so having Antony behind the wheel provided so much comfort during the long drives between national parks. The two parks that we visited were Mikumi and Nyerere National Parks. I think they provide great exposure to the different types of landscapes you can find throughout Tanzania. Mikumi was more grasslands and Nyerere was more bushlands. Both provided incredible views of wildlife but we did see pretty much the same animals in both parks. The lodges we stayed at on Safari ended up being some of the nicest rooms that we had on the entirety of our trip. Both lodges offered pretty similar experiences with pools and wifi. They were very clean and if I was trying to stay longer in the region they would definitely be at the top of my list for where to stay. Overall I would recommend Bujo tours and Antony with absolutely zero hesitation.

The best experience - This Safari experience far exceeded our expectations and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. We had so much fun, saw hundreds of animals, and learned a lot. Our guide Anthony was the best possible companion. He was incredibly patient, kind, funny, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves. We spent most of our days nonstop laughing, and he was always willing to make stops at local markets and rest stops when we needed a snack or to stretch our legs. He also was an expert on every single animal and plant. I think he probably answered at least a thousand questions we asked. He taught us about animal behaviors and pointed out symbiotic relationships between species. Not to mention his deep knowledge of the parks enabled us to see all the animals we wanted to see. We even saw lions mating and hunting, which is very rare. He also did a great job driving and navigating various terrains. It’s hard to imagine what this experience would have been like without Anthony by our side. We know we’ve made a forever friend and look forward to coming back as soon as we are able!

Mikumi & Nyerere NP - I spent 4 very nice days in the south of Tanzania. The group I joined and the driver Tony were the best company. If you don’t want to travel alone, I can highly recommend to do a safari by joining a group.
