MIKUMI PARK WITH KIHINDO SAFARIS - Winnie was incredibly sweet from the very first moment we contacted her, and she took care of how the Safari was going every single day. She was considerate, attentive, and always had a positive attitude. Her dedication to ensuring everything ran smoothly was truly comforting and made our experience even more memorable. William, our guide, possessed all the qualities that both adults and children cherished. He was patient, wise, talkative when needed, and silent yet astonishing when he was on the lookout for animals. With him, we had the honor of witnessing an entire family of lions, yawning and serene at dawn, and an impressive group of 11 elephants, composed of mothers and their calves. It was an extraordinary sight that left us all in awe. His ability to spot and approach these magnificent creatures without disturbing them was nothing short of remarkable. The cultural exchange was fascinating. Feeling like a perfect team (we were two families of four) amidst the excited chatter of the children and the Swahili songs taught by William added an extra layer of joy to our adventure. The children, amazed and thrilled, created an atmosphere of wonder and curiosity, which was beautifully complemented by William’s warm and knowledgeable presence. It felt as though we were not just on a safari, but on a journey of learning and discovery together. Saying goodbye to him has been a bit difficult, especially for Lucio, the youngest child, who was captivated and enchanted by spending time with his favorite guide. William’s kindness and expertise left a lasting impression on all of us, but particularly on little one, who found a role model and friend in him. The bond they formed was heartwarming and made our departure even more poignant. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We hope to bring a bit of ‘hakuna matata’ and ‘pole pole’ back home with us. The lessons and memories from this trip will stay with us forever, reminding us to embrace life’s adventures with a relaxed and positive mindset. This safari was more than just a vacation; it was an enriching experience that taught us about nature, culture, and the beauty of human connections.
