God’s Window is a small part of a 250km long earthwork of sheer cliffs and extravagant beauty. One can observe the hills and forests as far as the eye can see. In fact, it seems as if one can see forever!.
Bourkes’ Luck Potholes - From God’s Window we go to tour Bourkes’ Luck Potholes.
A tour of Bourke’s Luck Potholes offers a fascinating glimpse into the natural forces that have shaped the landscape of Blyde River Canyon. These remarkable cylindrical rock formations, carved by centuries of swirling water at the confluence of the Treur and Blyde Rivers, create a mesmerizing sight. Visitors can explore the network of walkways and bridges that provide vantage points over the deep, smooth potholes, and take in the intricate patterns and colors etched into the rock. Named after a 19th-century prospector who hoped to find gold here, Bourke’s Luck Potholes is both a geological marvel and a serene spot to appreciate the power of nature.
