Full game drive in Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve - After your first night in Selous, wake up early to a dawn chorus and spectacular views from your room (“banda”). After a quick cup of tea or coffee, embark on a full-day game drive and an exciting boat safari on Lake Tagalala as dawn breaks. There’s nothing quite like enjoying your packed breakfast among the large hippo pods, crocodiles, and amazing birdlife on the lake. Return to the lodge for a late lunch and a siesta by the pool, or visit the lodge’s tree house and water hole for the rest of the day—the choice is yours. (Packed breakfast, L, D)

Walking Safari in Selous National Reserve
Selous Game Reserve - Walking safaris in this magnificent reserve allow you to explore the surrounding area and the smaller flora and fauna often missed on a game drive. Enjoy a visit to the tree house on your way back to the lodge to see if any animals are drinking at the waterhole. Return to camp for a late breakfast before relaxing around the lodge or at the spring water swimming pool. After lunch, visit a local Maasai village near the lodge, home to Saita, the chief of this particular village and a long-time friend of Sable. The close relationship with Saita ensures a non-commercial experience, often including Saita as an escort explaining the traditional uses of various indigenous plants in the area. Afterwards, return to the lodge for your final night.
