Fully recommended - The 3-day tour of the Oasis and the White Desert was an incredible experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the first moment, everything was perfectly organized. Our Guide was friendly, knowledgeable about local history and always attentive to our needs.
The Oasis is a paradise in the middle of the desert, with its palm trees and hot springs that make you forget that you are in the middle of the Sahara. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the white desert, with its surreal rock formations that look like they were taken from another world. The sunset over the dunes and the night under the stars was a magical experience.
The camping accommodation was comfortable and the food authentic and delicious. We felt safe and well cared for throughout the tour. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the most impressive and unique side of Egypt.

Dont spend too much time in Cairo and come to the desert - Amazing experience. The best possible way to scape from busy Cairo and immerse into the quietness but full of entertainment Egyptian desert. The team organised everything really good and we had the best possible experience. Super skilled 4x4 drivers that are really into making the best out of your trip and Amir, the manager, was helpful from weeks before our arrival to the last minute of the tour.
Ive been in the Sahara before but i never seen such a different landscapes and incredible sights in the desert, also the sandboarding was extremely fun. Im still spitting stones.. xD

Experience of a lifetime - We had the most amazing trip. I cannot fault anything. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating the desert scenery incredible, the overnight desert experience wonderful.
The atmosphere and ambiance in the hotel and desert camp such a refreshing change from Cairo chaos.
If we have a chance in our lifetimes (we are 70) we will definitely come back.

Amazing sights and experience - Picked up on time for long drive to ahmed's safari camp. After lunch we set off with our guide, the amazing mo mo.
First stop was the black mountain with time to take in the incredible scenery. We stopped at a hot spring then onwards through more amazing scenery and got to the White Desert just as sun was starting to go down.Tents were already set up and mo mo was already getting the fire going and sorting the dinner for the night.Temperature was falling quickly and was lovely to have the roaring fire.
Sat around chatting with our group until delicious dinner of grilled chicken was ready.Food was plentiful and tasty.
The sleeping bag was warm and had big blanket as well.
Lovely to wake in the morning with the sun rise and mo mo prepared breakfast.
Soon after we packed up and finished by seeing more of the desert formations before going to crystal mountain.Final stop was a hot spring where it really was boiling hot!
Back to the safari camp and as I was staying one night there had to say goodbye to my fellow travellers.
My room was OK and had a good night's sleep as very quiet and peaceful when everyone had gone.
After breakfast the next day it was time for the drive back.
It's a very well organised operation of incoming and outgoing groups which works successfully. Was nice to meet Amir who was always commutative before and during the tour.
It's excellent value for money and haven't anything negative to say.

Memorable experience - I actually did a 4 day tour which included two nights in the desert. This was perfect for me as it included a lot of off-road travel.
The guide was experienced and he explained about the nature of this desert. He was also very considerate and cooked excellent (and very big ) meals. We are vegan but he understood our dietary needs exactly.
I would recommend the two nights in the desert rather than one because this takes you right off the beaten track for the majority of the trip.
You may need to contact the tour provider directly for this.

Black Desert, White Desert, Local Tour_March 2024 - Day 1 was long drive from Cairo to hotel and fast paced and lots of activities lined up. Highlights included Black Desert, White Desert, and Crystal Mountain. Lots of interesting geological formations and processes. Camping in the White Desert was fun for the most part. The sunset and sun rise was the perfect photo op. The meal portion was large (enough for two people) but quality could use some improvement. However, a wind storm came through and whipped up sand that forced us to our tents early - almost immediately after dinner. All camping necessities were provided but uncertain if the sleeping bags were cleaned after every use. The night was cold but the sleeping bag was warm. A mattress and heavy blanket was provided. I used the blanket as a pillow.
I suggest you bring warm clothing during this time of the year, baby wipes, and flash light. Any items related to camping for creature comfort is recommended.
Day 2 and 3 was slow paced. Day 2 returned from camping. Assigned a hotel room, assigned a hotel room, lunch, and started local tour in the afternoon. The local tour was less impressive but intriguing nevertheless. Highlights included the English House, lava field, sand dunes, palm grooves, salt lake, local market, and the local community. Be advised, the local community is visibly under-developed as expected from a third-world country. The day ended with a request for the tour guide (Mahmoud) to have dinner and shisha at a local restaurant. The meal and shisha was good but really enjoyed a great conversation with Mahmoud. Thanks my friend!
The hotel room was cozy and clean. Although the heater didn’t work, the blanket kept warm throughout the night. Hot water was available and really feels great washing all the sand off your body.
Day 3 woke up to breakfast and preparation to be transported back on the long trip to Cairo. Don’t expect any fancy food. It’s good to fill you up if you look past the bland taste. Wi-Fi did not work for the duration of the entire trip.
Improvements:
- Although the provided meals portions were good the quality could be improved and served hot.
-WiFi should be available at all times.
Applauded:
- Hospitality was amazing from all staff members. Thanks you Ezz, Mahmoud, and Amir.
- Movement coordination was good.
Advice: There are sharp rocks in the spring water pool. Be careful about jumping into the pool. You may cut your foot like I did.
