Amazing off road and off grid experience in Tusheti region in Georgia with a great guide and driver! - Very well organised trip into the Tusheti region! With special thanks to guide Koba and driver Vepho. We had great days, lots of fun and an unforgettable experience. Koba knows a lot about the past of the region, how the villages were built and how people lived there or still live there. This trip took us to a part of the world which is pure and untouched (let’s hope it will stay like that). The views over the landscape are magnificent and beyond you’ve ever see. It’s quite a long journey to get there, but it is very worth it and driver Vepho knows the road very well. The overnight stay in Omalo in hotel Kepney was also very good and the food was delicious! We would recommend this trip!

A lot of driving, allowing to see a lot in 3 days - A lot of time was spent in the car, both on the way to/from Tusheti on day 1 and 3 and to/from other villages in the valley on day 2. One day extra for some more (obviously slower) hiking would have been ideal for us. Koba is a passionate and caring guide, and our driver was excellent , his experience on the difficult roads showed. The accomodation in Omalo was still brand new and had all amenities: e.g. a 'normal', porcelain toilet, in contrast to the 'toilets' on the road. The food there was great.

Magical Trip in the mountains - I went to Georgia to do the "fun run" in Kazbegi, and was interested to see a bit more of the country. I found this small-group tour with Friendly.ge and I am so glad that I added it to my short trip in Georgia. It was a magic and wonderful experience. The name says it all - Friendly. The people! - Expert guide Koba, skilled and safe driver Vepho, nice people at the Guesthouse and others we met along the way. And of course the other "Team members" in the group, much younger than me and great fun to be with. For sure its a long time in the vehicle. I was going to say a long time "on the road", but I am not sure that is the right word! But to get away from the busy world, to have to cover some ground. Anyway, with stops along the way, the fantastic views and good conversation and info from Koba, the journey seemed to pass by quickly. It felt safe and reasonably comfortable in the Mitsubishi Delica. The visits to the villages were really interesting. The walking / hiking was a reasonable distance and at a good pace. We were given some choice in what we wanted to do. On day 2, a few of us did the final part of the trip back to the guesthouse on horses that were arranged just a few hours before, and available at the last spot that we visited. Comfortable accommodation with great food, and of course - the wine! I highly recommend this tour - I went as a solo traveler but in a small group like this you get to experience more and enjoy the company. Many thanks to Friendly.ge for putting this together.

Tusheti with Friendly.ge is a lifetime experience!!! - For sure the trip to Tusheti with Friendly.ge is an amazing experience, safe, unique and something you haven’t lived before. Visiting Tusheti is like you have travelled back in time with a time machine. The nature there and everything is so authentic, pure, magnificent, peaceful. Vepho, our driver, was the best we could have, responsible, helpful, I felt extremely safe the whole time, and he made the journey to Tusheti a lot easier than I expected after what I had read about the dangerous roads. Koba, our guide, was very helpful too, he knew many things about the history of Tusheti and made us understand and feel the life there, he had a great sense of humor, was calm and created a very positive vibe between all the members of the group. Koba and Vepho, were so kind and good humans, and they made the experience even more extraordinary. Also, the guesthouse where we lived, called Kepney, was the best choice, very very clean, well maintained, peaceful and with very tasty food, thanks to Natia, the manager of this place. I totally recommend the trip to Tusheti with Friendly.ge to anyone who wants to get away, to reconnect with nature and with all the things that truly matter in life, away from all the noise of everyday life.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience--while it lasts - Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And, before too long, as inhabitants move to lower altitudes and larger towns, and as tourism develops, it will likely be an experience that will no longer be available. I've been traveling for more than 50 years and in the tourism business for most of that time, and this tour ranked my top five.

Outstanding taster of Tusheti - I am a solo female traveler and booked to visit Tusheti the first week this tour was available after the infamous road opened. I found the particular highlights of this trip to be the small group size, which allowed for a lot of flexibility, and personability and skill of both our guide, Koba, and driver, Achi. Given the reputation of the road to reach Tusheti and the roads between villages, I always felt safe with Achi at the wheel. Koba is an experienced guide and very skilled at accommodating the various wants and needs of a group. I enjoyed my time immensely, with both them and the other travelers on my trip (two other solo travelers). The only thing I would change is to add an extra day for more time to explore! The Tushetian way of life if changing quickly; see it while you can.

Go, just GO. - Amazaballs!!! We decided to do another trip with Friendly, our guide Koba and driver Achi were the same gentlemen we day tripped with to the Rainbow Mountains and Monastries. Besides my wife and I a lady from Hongkong joined us. We ended up to be a perfect group to trave. The road to Tusheti is something else, you steadily drive upwards on a one lane road carved out of the mountain sides, truly spectacular and a good way to test whether your body still produces adrenaline! The views during the 70 KM drive are SPECTACULAR! Achi, our driver navigated the road with utmost care, a true pro. Koba filled us in on what we looked at and what could be expected in a very conversational style leading to "back & forthts" and some good laughs. The Tusheti region is unparalelled, nature is of the utmost beauty. The settlements you so all over tell stories of a life past. Yet, not really. The region is settled for 4 months or so each years. People bring up their life stock up the mountain and take them back down sometime late september early October. A sight to behold. We had 2 nights in a "home stay" eating deliscious food and experiencing how the locals live. Their hospitalilty is just fantastic. Kinder people you'll rarely meet. Koba and Achi became friends on the trip and when we return we'll be sure to raise a few more glassess of Cha Cha. Thanks so much gentlemen! You made it very special!

Great experience in Tusheti - The journey lives up to name as being very treacherous but it was worth it to see Tusheti. Koba (our guide) and our driver Kocha we’re extremely professional and good at keeping us safe. This trip is not for you if you do not like being in a car. Definitely a memorable experience. Thank you for making such an amazing trip

Hidden Gem - Tusheti: One of Georgia’s most fascinating regions, off-the-beaten-path destination that offers incredible natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, breathtaking views, unique architecture, remote valleys, mountain villages with stone towers and truly unique experiences. 3 memorable days in Tusheti was the best part of my 25 days Georgia trip. Friendly.ge team is best special thanks to Anna who was very helpful and patient with all my queries. Our super cool tour duo.. guide Koba, whose knowledge and stories were amazing, also he does nice landscape drawings, made one for each of us really sweet. Dangerous road felt so comfortable coz of Achiko I was soo relax and totally enjoyed my off road journey. They made it special and everything was very well organised. Tusheti should be at the top of your travel list when you visit Georgia. The place has a very unique, exotic atmosphere, reminding some kind of a "fairyland" the most isolated region of Georgia.
