Highlights

Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo National Park East - 7:00 am – It’s an early start for your safari adventure as your Africa Kenya Safaris driver/guide arrives to pick you up in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. Climb aboard and we’ll begin our journey towards Mombasa via the Likoni Ferry.

Next, we’ll travel along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, also known as the “Explorers’ Route”, as the sun rises over the fields.

In just a few hours, we’ll reach Tsavo East, greeted by its vast landscapes and expansive skies.

We’ll explore various watering holes such as Mudanda Rock and the Aruba Dam, where wildlife gathers to drink.

There will be ample time for animal viewing and enjoying lunch in this wide-open natural setting.

In the afternoon, we’ll embark on more game spotting, allowing you to immerse yourself in the safari experience.

Tsavo East – Tsavo West

Tsavo National Park West - We’ll rise before dawn to witness the sunrise as the park awakens with wildlife like waterbuck, gerenuk, buffalo, and elephants.

After breakfast, we’ll head out for another game drive, searching the savannah for more of the park’s inhabitants.

It’s a short drive to the rolling green hills of Tsavo West, a contrast to the rugged terrain we’ve left behind. This park is home to all the major wildlife, including rhinos.

We’ll visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, where these elusive nocturnal creatures reside. The rhino is an endangered species, but this sanctuary provides protection and care to help increase their population.

Tsavo West - Diani Beach

Tsavo National Park West - On our final safari day, we’ll rise early to maximize our wildlife viewing opportunities. We’ll watch the sun rise over the park and discover one of its hidden gems: a lush, palm-shaded oasis called Mzima Springs.

Having spent much of our safari in the 4 x 4 Jeep, we’ll now have the chance to explore on foot. We can stroll along the spring’s shores, looking for unique migratory birds and exotic fish.

We’ll also encounter crocodiles and hippos thriving in the millions of gallons of freshwater that feed the spring. This is a different kind of safari – tranquil and vibrant with nature’s colors.

We’ll enjoy lunch in these natural surroundings, reflecting on all we’ve experienced. After lunch, we’ll return to our 4 x 4 Jeep for a final game drive as we exit the park and head back to the coast.

Additional Information

Tsavo East National Park never fails to impress with its famous short-maned Tsavo lions and unusual rosy-hued elephants who like to roll in the reddish soil. You’ll also discover giraffe, zebra, ostrich, and hundreds of bird species.

Sister park, Tsavo West National Park is a surprising mix of rolling hills, volcanic formations, lush springs, and a special rhino sanctuary. You’ll be tracking for big cats in this park and even discover hippos and crocodiles.

Safari at its best - Brilliantly organised safari for us. Booking and deciding on game parks went really smoothly. On safari our guide and driver Joseph was superb. Very knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour and pride in his country not to mention driving very safely. I can definitely recommend this company to anyone planning to go on safari.

Amazing Safari - The Safari was amazing. I did a solo private Safari and I really enjoy my Time during 3 days. Abdul was so professional and friendly. We saw several animals like Lions, Buffalo, Gazelles, Girafes, Zebra and the list is long…Abdul knew very well the park and he makes this experience unforgettable. The views are so beautiful and the lodges chosen in the Safari are the best. Thank you Abdul and Martha, she helped me planning everything in a professional way while I was in France.
