Starting in Cape Town, you’ll head northeast towards Worcester, where the R62 begins. As you travel this picturesque route, you’ll pass through quaint towns like Robertson and Montagu, known for their vineyards and hot springs. The road meanders through the dramatic Klein Karoo, showcasing towering mountains and expansive valleys. Oudtshoorn, famous for its ostrich farms and the Cango Caves, awaits at the end of this memorable trip, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

The Cango Caves - We tour the Cango Caves. A visit to the Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn is an awe-inspiring journey into an underground wonderland. We depart from Oudtshoorn and head to Botlierskop Game Reserve for a game safari

Knysna - From Botlierskop, we head to Knysna. Knysna, located along South Africa’s Garden Route, is a picturesque town known for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere. The town is set around a beautiful lagoon, framed by lush forests and the dramatic Knysna Heads, two towering cliffs guarding the entrance to the sea. Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate - From Hermanus, we head to Benguela Cove Wine Estate where we taste 5 different wines. Wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate offers a refined experience amidst breathtaking scenery. Located on the shores of the Bot River Lagoon, the estate combines stunning views with exceptional wines. As you savor their award-winning varietals, including elegant reds and crisp whites, you can enjoy panoramic vistas of the lagoon and surrounding vineyards. Betty’s Bay - From Benguela Cove Wine Estate, we proceed to see African Penguins at Betty’s Bay. Cape Town - Finally, we travel from Betty’s Bay along the Whale Coast as we head back to Cape Town. Traveling on the Whale Coast from Betty’s Bay to Cape Town offers a scenic and exhilarating journey along South Africa’s stunning southern coastline. Starting in Betty’s Bay, you’ll meander through picturesque seaside towns and rugged landscapes, with opportunities to spot whales during their migration season. The route takes you past charming villages like Kleinmond and Hermanus, known for their whale-watching and coastal beauty. As you continue towards Cape Town, you’ll enjoy diverse coastal scenery, from dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches to lush vineyards, making the drive a captivating blend of natural wonders and charming locales.
