Acatenango - Antigua Guatemala

Antigua - Early this morning (4 a.m.), you will commence the final ascent to the summit crater of the Acatenango volcano to witness the horizon and take your last photos. Return to base camp for breakfast before descending and heading back to Antigua Guatemala.

Biotopo del Quetzal - The Quetzal Biotope is located in the municipality of Purulhá, in Baja Verapaz. Covering an area of 1,044 hectares, it was officially designated as a protected area on June 2, 1976, by founder Mario Dary Rivera, with the primary goal of protecting the quetzal and its cloud forest habitat.

Santa Cruz, Coban -Semuc Champey - Santa Cruz, Coban.

Semuc Champey - Semuc Champey, meaning “River hides under the stones,” is a natural wonder located in the Guatemalan municipality of Lanquín (approximately 12 km south of the urban center of Lanquín), in the department of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Amidst a dense tropical forest, there is a natural limestone bridge about 300 meters long through which the Cahabón River flows. Surrounding this bridge are numerous pools, 1 to 3 meters deep, whose turquoise green or jade color changes throughout the year depending on the weather, sun, and other natural factors. At the end of the bridge, you can observe the Cahabón River as it enters a limestone cavern, a very dangerous area to approach due to the force of the water, only to be observed from a distance.

Hun Nal Ye - Hun Nal Ye, a mystical destination with natural pools in Guatemala, is a paradise for lovers of aquatic adventures and nature. Located in the department of Alta Verapaz, this tourist spot offers a variety of activities and landscapes that attract both national and international tourists.

The name means “The House of the Moon God,” evoking a sense of mysticism felt when walking its trails and crystal-clear pools. This site is renowned for its clear waters and cenotes, where visitors can swim and explore. Cuevas de Candelaria Mucbilha - The Candelaria Caves, located in the department of Alta Verapaz, form a national park. This complex of caves is considered the spiritual cradle of the Mayan civilization in the region. For the Mayans, navigating the underground river led souls to Xibalbá in search of immortality.

This site is surrounded by hills and features more than 8 caves, each with unique formations and sizes.

In these caves, you can navigate over 2 kilometers of underground river and swim in the crystal-clear water pools covered by natural rock.

Isla Flores - Tikal - Isla Flores

Tikal National Park - Tikal (meaning “place of voices”) is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the Mayan civilization. It is located in the municipality of Flores, in the department of Petén, within the current territory of the Republic of Guatemala. It is part of the Tikal National Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. According to the glyphs at the site, its Mayan name was Yax Mutul.

Isla Flores - Peten Iza boat ride - Yaxha - Isla Flores - Guatemala City

Lake Peten Itza - This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel to board a boat that will take you to visit points of interest around this beautiful lake.
You will visit: the animal sanctuary, ARCAS, a non-profit Guatemalan Civil Association formed in 1989 by a group of Guatemalan citizens concerned about the rapid disappearance of their precious cultural heritage, especially their wildlife.
You will also visit the King Canek viewpoint, known for its location in the middle of the Petén jungle and its panoramic view. From the top of this viewpoint, you can see Lake Petén Itzá and the beautiful Flores Island. Departure to Yaxha.

Yaxha - The archaeological site of Yaxhá, also known as “Tierras Bajas Centrales,” is located in the department of Petén, near the lake of the same name. It was discovered in 1904 by explorer Teobert Maler, who described the area after his trip.
Archaeologists have described the settlement as a series of artificial levelings that reach their highest point at the eastern end, forming one of the “best examples of Mayan urbanism,” characterized by more than 500 buildings in groups of different levels connected by five causeways and various paved roads.
