Indescribably great experience with a super tour guide - May is a wonderful and very helpful tour guide. She has excellent advice and is incredibly friendly and polite. Great Guide - This was the most wonderful couple of hours to enjoy the sights and smells and tastes of the Night Market. My Guide was May Ei, the sweetest human being who portrayed the passion for her country and it's heritage and flavors. She was so attentive, I would highly recommend this 'taste' of this vibrant cultural experience

Great Night Market Tour. - Spend a couple hours with Joseph, our private guide in an amazing night market in Taipei. Joseph was super knowledgeable and we were able to see everything and sample some great local food. Highly recommend

Great Intro to the Night Market Scene in Taipei - Night markets are a must-see in Taipei if you are any kind of foodie. However, the choices and language barriers make it challenging to approach them with confidence. This tour was a great introduction to night markets. Mavis was an excellent tour guide who had her go-to places and recommendations. We were able to cruise the entire market first since it "was not too busy" (that's a relative concept) and plan what we should try. There were probably 5 to 6 of each type of stall so it was helpful to have advice on which ones to patronize. Mavis made the experience very enjoyable and informative. Her tour helped me navigate other night markets around Taiwan during my three week trip. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking to check out the Taipei night markets.

Highly recommend!! - WHAT A GREAT DEAL! If I had gone myself, I would never have tried some of the foods. My tour guide told me which things to try and which ones aren’t worth it. I didn’t realize there were so many Michelin Guide stands. My tour guide was amazing and communicated to the shop owners. Made me feel like I could just let go of all my worries and EAT! Totally recommend - it is private so only you (your group) and the tour guide.

Poorly managed tour - choose another. - We went on this tour with the guide Joseph. He spoke excellent English and had really interesting topics about the city to discuss. This less than stellar experience had nothing to do with Joseph but with the structure (or lack there of) of this tour. There were no planned food stops. No planned bites. No schedule whatsoever. We were told to choose what we wanted to eat. But we’ve never been to Taipei! We had no idea what to choose and were overwhelmed with vendors, choices, and no mandarin skills. There was no coordination of eating and walking, eating and sitting, or even coordinating an air conditioning break (very important in Taipei in the warm seasons). We also had to pay cash separately for every bite which made it hard to pay attention as food was received as we were always scrambling for small bills. Other than Joseph’s awesome stories, we could’ve done this “tour” ourselves. I would recommend the company establish an actual schedule of food stalls to hit, bites to sample, ideal sitting places and air conditioning breaks, as well as including their planned snacks in the price of the tour. Other food tours we took in Taipei (for the same price) were amazing top to bottom. I’d recommend you keep searching and skip this one.
