Additional Information

Fully familiar with every location on this tour, we were born and raised here and endeavored for more than three years to secure our guiding licenses. Moreover, our vehicles are fully licensed to operate.

We understand at what time and where to head first to avoid the throngs of people. Our goal is for you to appreciate the tranquility and allure of each location. If you aren’t keen on participating in long tours exceeding 8 hours, this would be an optimal choice. Dividing the visit to the Sacred Valley over two days will ensure our tours will be shorter, ranging between 6 and 8 hours each day, and more leisurely. Also, it grants us ample time to have a more in-depth exploration of each location, especially if we commence the tour from Urubamba (a town in the Sacred Valley).
WE ADVISE LODGING IN URUBAMBA, as it is in closer proximity to all the sites, lies around 800 m beneath Cusco city, making it easier to adapt to the altitude, and it’s closer to Machupicchu.

Keep in mind, our tours are PRIVATE, offering great # flexibility.

Amazing tour of the Sacred Valley - must do! - We did a 2 day sacred valley tour with Miguel through Exclusive Inka tour and it was amazing, from the book process all the way to the end. Oscar and the team are very responsive and were flexible in setting up a tour that worked for us. We appreciated the pick up in Cusco and also drop off/pick off for day 2 in Ollantaytambo. Miguel was on time, a safe driver, and so knowledgeable about Cusco region and the Sacred Valley area. Miguel was able to guide us and provide so much context to all the majestic Incan ruins and places and also got to explore town squares and markets. An added plus is Miguel knew where the good photo spots were too. We absolutely loved every bit of the 2 day tour and loved all the places and sights and definitely recommend Exclusive inka tour for anyone visiting the area!

Cusco/ Maras/ Moray/ Ollantaytambo Private tour - If you’re traveling to Peru, you have to go through Exclusive Inka tours! Not only did Oscar take as much time as needed to help us plan the itinerary before the trip, but he also went above and beyond while we were in Peru. He planned everything to the T and messaged us every morning/evening for a quick reminder of the day’s plan. He was extremely professional and responsive. While taking us on tours, he explained everything so thoroughly and made sure there was no question that went unanswered. My family had so much fun spending the day touring with him. He was flexible with our schedule if there was something we wanted to skip or something we wanted to see more. All in all, Oscar is a gem and he made our Peru trip one that we will never forget!

Memorable experience in Cusco and surroundings ! - My fiancé and I went to Peru for the 1st time for this September and got recommendation from a close friend of ours to visit the region of Cusco with Oscar. While we had a short amount of time, Oscar helped us make the absolute best out of our trip ! He planned out an efficient route allowing us to visit multiple spots in the area and made us feel very comfortable without us needing to worry about transportation or agendas. In 2 days we visited Cincheros textile area, Maras salt mines and multiple gorgeous view points in Valle Sagrado including local food and drink tastings. Any place we been to - Oscar shared his very knowledgeable experience with us about the area we were visiting. It was all very interesting ; and Oscar made it feel as if we known each other since forever with a very warm welcome and a lot of enthusiasm as he guided us through the region. It was very easy going around as we were picked up from the airport, taken around and brought/picked us up to our hotel on the different days. On areas further from Cusco - Oscar also helped us in arranging guided tours of Machu Picchu and Rainbow mountain which were all perfectly organized. This is the 1st time we went around with a guide while traveling as we usually explore areas on ourselves. We had a great time and 100% recommend touring with Oscar if you visit Cusco/Valle Sagrado !

The best way to tour the Sacred Valley! - Oscar took us all around the Sacred Valley during our stay. He and his tours are what made this the most amazing trip. Oscar took such good care of us and was so knowledgeable. I feel like we learned enough for a college degree about the Incan people and history. He took into consideration our interests and personalities in order to personalize our activities. I can’t imagine touring this area any other way.

Great tour with Exclusive Inka Tour - Oscar and his team were great. They helped plan the right way to do the trip(much better with two days in Sacred Valley instead of rushing it in one), he did not rush us, and gave us a tremendous education on Inka culture. We used him in Cusco as well and for transportation from Ollantambo to Cusco after the train and his guide at Machu Picchu. All were excellent. He and his wife are true professionals in education and planning. They made this trip really great.

A Delightful Introduction to the Wonders of the Cusco Region - My family and I had a wonderfully informative and super fun time with Miguel, who, for two full days, introduced us to many of the wonders of the Cusco region. Prior to our trip, Cintya, the reservation manger for Exclusive Inka Tours, was very responsive and patiently communicative about all their offerings and our many questions, and then, when a Peruvian air-traffic controllers strike delayed our arrival, Cintya was understanding and was able to shift our schedule to accommodate the last-minute itinerary change. Miguel has all the deep and broad knowledge you would want in a guide, and he is genuinely passionate about the people of Peru and their history. He was kind and fun and made a packed itinerary feel relaxed and comfortable. We saw A LOT and learned A LOT, but we never felt rushed nor overwhelmed -- the pacing was just right. We'll always treasure these two days of touring Cusco. THANK YOU, Miguel, Cintya, Oscar, and everyone at Exclusive Inka Tours!

Stop reading reviews and book this tour!!! - We spent 5 days with Oscar in Peru and truly can say that he was the best tour guide we’ve ever had on a trip! He was attentive to our needs, flexible, patient and creative. His command of English is excellent. He is an amazing historian but also kept our two teenage boys engaged and joked around with us. He changed things around when we requested and even came up with new ideas for our itinerary as he got to know us. He always found us amazing food (including unscheduled stops for 2 always hungry teenage boys and helping my husband and I navigate Peru on a newly adopted vegan diet). His wife, Cyntia, was so easy to communicate with and assisted in all the planning/coordination leading up to the trip. I spent a lot of time debating whether to go on this trip with one of the big travel companies or do it myself. I’m so thankful I decided to go with Exclusive Inka Tours. For one thing, I didn’t have to “do it myself” because they guided me through every step of the planning process including arranging our Inka Trail trek with a partner company (which was excellent also). But the biggest reason is that we can’t imagine our trip without Oscar. He made the trip not only easy but so much fun. He felt like family (we even got to meet his adorable children) and I would absolutely recommend him for anyone!

top Travel guide in Peru! - I saw the review on TripAdvisor and thought exclusive inka tour would be great helping me navigate Sacred Valley. I was right. I spoke to Oscar a few times prior and as I have told several people his English was better than mine. He picked my two children and I up and there was a strike that day, so it made our original plans obsolete as a couple of locations were inaccessible. No worries, Oscar was able to change things on the fly and made for a great with a tour of a couple of national parks and guinea pigs for lunch! His knowledge of the area is second to none and we we were blown away by his knowledge on all things Sacred Valley and Inka. We were able to do ATV rides and really enjoy the beauty of the area. He dropped us off at a great hotel and his brother/coworker was able to take us to dinner as well as recommend places to watch the Peru futbol game and gave us excellent recommendations where to find English speaking bar patrons. Later he was able to take us back to the hotel. The next day my son had altitude sickness and Oscar was able to help him find a doctor and adjusted our schedule accordingly still allowing us time to horseback ride salt mine tours and another spectacular lunch in Moras. Oscar is very well respected and enjoys great food and we followed his restaurant recommendations. After headed to Machu Picchu we said our good byes only to have to rely on him again when our returned train to Cusco was cancelled. There he was again. I've been to 30 countries and I know when I see and meet and experience a travel professional. They help you when the unexpected happens and it always does. Between 2 strikes and my son's 2 hours with a doctor at our hotel, Oscar solved our problems and that is after all of his knowledge and safe driving skills.

3 great days in Cuzco & Sacred Valley - Exclusive Inka Tours My wife and I visited Cuzco & Sacred Valley in December 2021 and spent 3 tremendous days touring the region with Oscar and Miguel. Our communication with the team began 2 months prior to arrival as “the boss” Cintya was incredibly helpful in setting up our adventures. With our flight schedules getting changed by the airlines, we were hesitant to commit to a “set itinerary.” Cintya made it clear we would be able to play everything by ear and accomplish things based on how we felt at the time, taking things like tiredness, weather, altitude, hunger, etc. into consideration. When we met Oscar at the Cuzco airport in miserable weather, he whisked us away to a delicious restaurant at Chincero, where we had an incredible first meal and waited out the rain. We hustled through Chinchero ruins in order to do some higher priority shopping and catch maras at sunset before it closed for the day. The sun had just started to break through the clouds and we caught incredible views of the Andes along the way. After a great time at Maras (where we learned that Oscar is an excellent photographer), we cruised down to Ollaytaytambo for the night. Miguel met us in Ollaytaytambo the next morning and we toured the ruins there, then up to Moray, then to Urubamba for another spectacular lunch spot, then onwards to Pisac ruins and some shopping at the market, before returning back to Olly. This was a big day, but a great day and in 2 days we were able to check all the boxes on our Sacred Valley list, thanks to their willingness to move stops around for optimization. During all of this time together, we discussed all the possible things we could do when we returned to Cuzco after 2 days in Machu Picchu. We decided against going to Rainbow Mountain and instead joined Oscar for a walking tour of Cuzco, including more delicious food from restaurants, streets and markets. We also visited the nearby animal sanctuary which was one of the many highlights of the trip. It was sad to say goodbye after all these great days together. Arriving with nearly zero knowledge, we were fully schooled on the history and culture of the Sacred Valley, Cuzco, and Peru in general. I’ve already been able to recommend Exclusive Inka Tours to 2 groups of friends visiting Peru shortly, and hope this review will encourage even more folks in internet land to reach out.
